Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated in a tweet in the early hours of Wednesday that he voted for Republican candidate Mayra Flores in the recent special election for Texas’s 34th Congressional District, also predicting a “massive red wave in 2022.” Following her historic win, Flores responded to Musk saying, “Welcome to the Republican Party! We welcome all walk aways from all walks of life. The party of opportunity, prosperity, and freedom is here to stay. We look forward to working together and building a better future for all of America.”

Anyone on the ground there in Texas? With the redistricting and her running in the new Biden +15 district, does anyone think she has a reasonable chance of riding the wave in November and winning?

Wow. Talk about an influencer exercising his influence.

The more I hear of the recast and rebranded Elon Musk, the more I like him.

He may or may not be an ally of Donald Trump, because, after all, two alpha males always end up circling each other in a wary mode, but with a certain direction to which they are moving.

No, probably not. However, she won by seven, in a +5 district, so that is a flip of 13. So, +15 is possible.

Massive red wave in 2022,” Musk tweeted.

I sure hope it is massive so as to send a deafening message to the country. 146 days to go.

I do like and admire the man while completely disagreeing with him about the need or logic behind electric cars, Mars as a place suitable for human occupation (how about we start with Antarctica ... it’s warmer and it has air), and concern over mythical Anthropomorphic Climate Effect while letting China and India get away with real damage to the ecosphere.

It’s the economy stupid and Elon knows which way the wind is blowing and he wants to sail along regardless of how “good” or “bad” he is.

If things were the other way around he’d be pitching Democrats.

It’s not really any of my business who he voted for. That’s part of the beauty of the secret balloting. The democrat MOB doesnt know who i voted for so they wont come burn my house.

He’s an oddball or weirdo. However when you have his wealth you become eccentric and much is tolerated or accepted.
