The vote to overturn Roe v. Wade was 5-4. Alito wrote the majority opinion, joined by Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett.
The vote to uphold Mississippi’s abortion restriction was 6-3. Roberts voted with the majority for that outcome, but he said in a separate opinion that he would not have overturned Roe.

Are you dense? They ruled that the initial ruling 50 years ago was in error, was not constitutional so they rescinded that ruling which was wrong in the first place. They didn’t make anything legal or illegal today,they just removed a bad ruling from 50 years ago.
Are you pro abortion? Your posts certainly seem to be, you are arguing every which way against this ruling as if you hope there is some way around it. You are free to say whatever you want and have whatever opinion you want, but this is a pro life forum and you will get clobbered by many if you are pro abortion.

I didn’t say they lacked jurisdiction. They overturned a previous wrong decision.

SCOTUS will be the most lasting legacy of Trump's presidency, and he deserves much credit for selecting and standing by these nominees. But it was McConnell and Graham who who "fought the dogs of hell" to get them on the court. Particularly in Kavanaugh's case, where the far left and their media lapdogs went all in. They overcame extreme intimidation, false accusations, the left making a mockery of the hearings, and the corrupt scumbag traitors Flake and Murkowski, not to mention a weak and senile Senator Grassley playing the useful idiot.
Not to mention McConnell blocking Obama's appointment of Garland, absolutely enraging the dems and allowing Trump to appoint Gorsuch right after he was inaugurated. McConnell literally gave Trump an extra SCOTUS pick.
We can bash the rinos for their failures and betrayals all we want, but these were important battles they won, in some cases valiantly. Roe V Wade is defeated and the individual right to BEAR arms under the 2nd Amendment is confirmed - in a single SCOTUS session.

Pretty remarkable when you think about it. I would never have guessed it would have happened over 2 days, didn’t think I would see Roe go in my lifetime.
The 2nd amendment is confirmed UNTIL you have an ex girlfriend who has a grudge and reports you under the NEW red flag laws and they confiscate your firearms with NO DUE PROCESS!!
