Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene faced criticism on social media on Saturday for calling non-biological parents "fake mom and fake dad" as Republicans push adoption as an abortion alternative in the wake of the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Greene, a Georgia Republican, warned about what she views as threats to children and conservative values during a discussion on her show MTG Live, which was posted to Rumble on Thursday. During the discussion, the congresswoman explained one reason she worries for children is because some are raised by "fake" parents.
"Children are in the greatest danger in America today because traditional family values are being destroyed—the idea that mom and dad together, not fake mom and fake dad, but the biological mom and biological dad, can raise their children together and do what's right for their children," she said.

I don’t know. How many people have to sign up to be fostering to take care of all them? But liberals have been chipping away at anything they saw as “humiliating” such as those, workhouses, poorhouses, and of course, mental hospital institutions. It was happening in the ‘40s as they even made movies to make it seem how horrible the latter were (never mind One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest).
I’m sure there were plenty of orphanages in the day. Lots of Catholic nuns ran them as well as others.
The problem is that all that happens is the problem gets shifted somewhere else. It doesn’t go away.

I find it very revealing that Newsweek chooses not play the video of MTG herself making the comment - but instead offers a partial quote with zero context.
The alleged insult to adoptive parents was made on her TV show, so we know video exists - yet they choose not to show it.
Could it be that the video would debunk their whole narrative by making it perfectly clear that she was NOT referring to normal adoptive couples, but rather to homosexual adoptive parents, who are indeed fake?
Conversely, if they did have actual footage of her insulting normal adopting parents, can you imagine them not using it against her?
Nope, not the same. Trump deliberately was spouting off even via tweets (how does a press have all that time to play with his phone?), deliberately insulting many publicly. MTG tends to do the same thing.
As far as flubs, yes, Biden is full of those. A lot more then even MTG I’m sure. He’s only said a few mean things lately as opposed to all along.

Even without the benefit of modern media and cameras recording every utterance, Winston Churchill was renowned for mean statements and foot-in-mouth comments that pissed-off wide swaths of the British populace. He was legendary for public put-downs and wild statements…and he had to work much harder to do it.
To some extent, It goes with the territory. If you are Uber cautious about every utterance or everything you write to ensure vanilla propriety, you become a “leader” like Mitch McConnell, who never makes a gaffe or says one word out of color. How’s that working for you?

Be careful with that “statistic”. That data is contaminated with foster children adopted, who have significantly more serious psychological issues than children adopted at birth.
