Frustrated Democrats mull drastic step: Challenging Biden in 2024
The Hill ^ | 07/18/22 6:00 AM ET | BY HANNA TRUDO

The chances that Biden could attract a primary challenger are rising amid devastating polling numbers with Democrats and particularly young voters.

His loyalists have defended him against the increasingly negative headlines. They say he stepped into a mess made by former President Trump and that some of the lawmakers in Congress who were supposed to help him turn things around have been difficult and disappointing.

But that willingness to prop up the sinking president has been wearing thin. Day by day, Democrats are considering a possible new scenario: challenging the sitting president for the 2024 nomination.

“Unless Biden comes to his senses and announces that he won’t run again, a contentious battle for the nomination seems very likely,” Normon Soloman, founder of the progressive network RootsAction, told The Hill.

A drastic step? Without the help of the media they would have pushed him aside two years ago and moved on.

I think Sinema or Manchin will be the nominee.

This article, and others like it, signal that the media has already pushed pedo Pete aside and are moving on.

If someone would announce they are seeking the LGBTABC party nomination, Biden’s head would explode and a dust bowl would cover the Earth again.

He would not be able to handle it. Gaffes would be rolling off his tongue and he would be flipping and falling like our dog that got into the Chlordane.

The dog survived but not so sure about SLO Joe.

Interesting. I’m starting to get the vibes on who wants to be veep. Noem, Duckworth, Abrahams, Julian Castro, Tulsi... oh and Mayor Poot or Sparticus Booker. Haven’t checked that box for the squealing Left.

If I were an evil Democrat consultant, I would recommend this:

1. Coerce VP Harris to resign in exchange for whatever she wants. A combination of a lot of money and a future position she'd want.

2. Convince Biden to resign in order to keep him and his family from criminal trials.

3. Now Nancy Pelosi is President, and if the Dems do this before November, then they have a good chance of voting for Pelosi's choice for a VP. It only requires simple majorities in the House and the Senate to vote for that new VP.

What could the pubbies do to stop this?

He signed over 50 EO’s his first week. It’s his liberal agenda that’s his main problem.

Exactly what I was thinking. We would not be in this position if the media didn’t carry a senile, mentally deficient, too old candidate over the finish line in 2020. Challenging him should be a foregone conclusion.

Subtly encourage this any way we can. Think of the impact Ted Kennedy’s primary challenge had on Jimmy Carter in 1980.

Nope. Has to be someone much further to the left. If they could resurrect Josef Stalin, he'd be their perfect candidate.

Kennedy’s challenge to Carter got *us* the Dept. of Education. Who knows what Biden would give away to keep the Left happy and stave off a challenge. One thing for sure, we will pay the price for any deal he makes.

“Unless Biden comes to his senses..."

It's OK to stop reading right there.
