Twenty-eight female inmates at an Indiana jail are suing a Clark County jail guard for selling the keys to their cells to male inmates, resulting in a “night of terror,” .

at least 12 women were raped, harassed, groped, and threatened after a guard, David Lowe, 29, sold the keys to their cells to male inmates for $1,000.
Male inmates allegedly wore towels over their heads to hide their identities from cameras as they entered the female prisoner section.
“The men repeatedly threatened to sexually assault the women,” according to one lawsuit. The male inmates also allegedly threatened the women if they screamed for help. Two women reported being raped.
As per the suits, not one guard came to help the women. The suits also allege that some of the women were left with various injuries, including “bleeding, vaginal tears, and genital herpes.”
Shockingly, after the brutal attacks, the guards put the women on lockdown and left the jail lights on for 72 hours. They also commandeered “authorized personal property from the women such as pillows, blankets, and personal hygiene items without any legitimate security reason,” according to court records.
Jail guard David Lowe was summarily fired and charged with trafficking with an inmate, felony official misconduct, and aiding escape. Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel is also named in the suits, which accuse him of not training guards adequately.

This isn’t rural Indiana. This is north of Louisville Ky separated by the Ohio River. New Homes here are $300k+.

This is a county jail, not a prison. The guy who sold the prison keys is not a prison guard. He’s a low level county employee. He does not get paid much.
Men. Woman. Undefined! Can’t say that any more. They are people who identify as people who identify as having front poles and people who identify as people who identify as having front holes unless they’re gender fluid in which case their front poles identify as front holes.
And the country is rapidly going insane.
Eh, there’s a difference between jail and prison, is there not? All I know is NJ has one women’s prison, they stuck a trannie in there, and I guess he still had the male equipment because he managed to impregnate two of the actual female inmates. From what I read the relationships were consensual. That person has now been moved to a different facility.
From the guards yes, but I don’t know about the inmates. With his experience of getting things for the inmates, he might make more money on the inside than he did as a Screw.

You would think that people as smart as Freepers would know the difference between a jail and a prison.

New homes are $300,000? That’s your argument? There are virtually no places in the United States where you can buy a new house for $300,000. And if you drive 30 minutes from that location, you are in the middle of nowhere
Perhaps, but the Clark County Detention Center isn’t 30 minutes away. It is 2 minute drive across the River from Louisville, KY. And yes, there are places that aren’t in the boonies where $300k houses are available.
Women and Men should NOT be incarcerated in the same place. This is a disgusting story, and I hope all involved are tried, convicted, and lodged in their former place of employment for a LONG LONG time.

By “all involved” I hope you’re including the politicians and judges controlled by the Democrat Party who have created the environment where those kinds of crimes can so easily occur!

Well that should include not only the warden but the Democrat politicians and judges who have approved the creation of prison systems where such atrocities can happen!
That is true.
I know of two jail attendants that went to jail themselves for having sex with female inmates, one from Bartholomew and one from Jennings County.
What a surprise.
