Any trial would have to be in a district that is related to the crime. That means NY is out. Florida would be a possibility because that is where the FBI found the top secret documents. The other possible location would be D.C. because that is where the documents were stolen from.
I don’t think the Feds can seat 12 people in Florida without getting an unwavering Trump supporter. I don’t think there are 12 people in D.C. that support Trump. The trial will be in D.C.
If it’s in DC, then it’s a miscalculation, since that would mean federal charges and Trump can just pardon himself if he wins reelection.
