one of my favorites, but he’s not snuggling up close to

His recent demands of Sweden and Finland regarding their
dealings with Israel still stand, so I am not going to

The nations jabbing their fingers at Russian control of Crimea have their own occupation skeletons. How far back must one go to legitimise an occupation or de legitimise it. You could say Turks are not legitimately part of Anatolia. The Greeks have a stronger claim.Turks are regional interlopers

I think that Crimea is historically Russian, and in an honest referendum the inhabitants of Crimea would choose to be part of Russia.
However, Vlad Putin has made such a mess with his brutal invasion of Ukraine that Russia may wind up losing Crimea and everything else. Russia should start worrying about holding on to Siberia. Until 1860 Vladivostok was part of China, and I’m sure the Chinese would like it back.
