Janet Yellen admits ‘risk’ US gas prices could surge again this winter

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen admitted there is a “risk” that US gas prices will surge again this winter after months of steady declines.

Yellen cited potentially fraught conditions in Europe as members of the European Union wean off Russian oil shipments and mull the imposition of a price cap in response to the brutal invasion of Ukraine.

“It’s a risk and it’s a risk that we’re working on the price cap to try to address,” Yellen said during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. “This winter, the European Union will cease, for the most part, buying Russian oil and in addition, they will ban the provision of services that enable Russia to ship oil by tanker. It is possible that could cause a spike in oil prices.”

“Our price cap proposal is designed to both lower Russian revenues that they use to support their economy and fight this illegal war while also maintaining Russian oil supplies to hold down global oil prices,” Yellen added

Could be, but I haven’t noticed price drops before. I don’t
catch everything. We still have hot weather until mid
October, but I’m not sure when they institute our change
each year. Maybe it is eminent.

Whenever there is a change, swap outs, the price generally
goes higher here for a while.

It’s notorious at the beginning of the Summer. They say
it’s because they have to close down a refinery. I find
it hard to believe they couldn’t produce some ahead to
ease the shortage.

Gas, diesel, heating oil, natural gas.

Just about everything that comes out of a refinery will go up.

This is what happens when the government and enviro-nazis make war on the energy companies for the last several decades. They force the energy companies to invest money in the “green agenda” thus reducing to a great extent capex spending on exploration and production in what is the better energy source, and then we end up with shortages. This is not a result of stupidity, it’s a result of planned calamity. Cold, hungry, and diseased people will give up a lot of liberty to get relief from their suffering.

“Our price cap proposal is designed to both lower Russian revenues that they use to support their economy and fight this illegal war while also maintaining Russian oil supplies to hold down global oil prices,”

Psychotic delusion.

Russia will simply shut off the spigot until their price is met.

Western governments cannot withstand the result.

The risk is to stop depleting the strategic oil reserve before the election which is artificially lowering the price,so after the election watch out folks

And more so the people who support the Brandon WH. Put aside the fraud and there are still way too many people voting for the RATS and their destructive policies.
