Nord Stream Pipeline Leak Site Inspection Points Towards Sabotage: Sweden

Stockholm: An inspection of two of the leaks at the Nord Stream gas pipelines linking Russia to Europe has reinforced suspicions that they were acts of sabotage, Swedish authorities said Thursday. "We can conclude that there have been detonations at Nord Stream 1 and 2 in the Swedish exclusive economic zone that has led to extensive damage to the gas pipelines," public prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist said in a statement

Mr Ljungqvist added that the "crime scene investigation had strengthened the suspicions of aggravated sabotage."

"Pieces of evidence have been gathered at the crime scene and these will now be examined," the prosecutor said.

The prosecutor did not disclose details, citing the confidentiality of the investigation and stating that "the issue is very sensitive."…

… On Monday, Sweden's Prosecution authority said it was blocking off the area around the leaks in the Swedish zone in order to carry out an inspection of the scene.

The authority said Thursday that the restrictions had been lifted following the completion of the inspection.…

Sleepy Joe is too dumb to do this

Tell that to all the Jan 6 protesters languishing in jail for 18 months in shackles without a trial.

I’m nobody, but even a nobody would know that if they blew a pipeline up someone would go down and look, and bring up trace evidence to try and find who caused it.

I bet the explosives will come back as South African stolen from a mining outfit there, with the timer from China, the wire used from Argentina, and wrapped in Canadian insulation.

I mean who is STUPID enough to leave evidence behind that will point the finger at them? TBH whoever it comes back as is who I would be less likely to believe did it, the stronger the proof, the more I believe it was planted.

Well polls in Germany say most Germans believe it was the American government that did the bombing.

I would guess polls in America would say the same thing if anyone could be bothered to ask the question.

It was an explosion of flammable fuel vapors in the center fuel tank.

That’s a whole different deal - Those are his direct political adversaries (in his dementia-fueled mind).

Don’t know for sure, but I would not think the Afgans have the expertise to have done this.

Probably not, but who would have thought sand demons could take down the Twin Towers?

And who in their worst fever dream would imagine that one of them would be replaced by what looks like a socket for the Kaaba Stone shrine in Mecca?

ISIS Afgans could provide American made C-4 to any number of groups and governments...

Perhaps some numbers:

2021

Russia natgas output 701.7 billion cubic meters
Norway natgas output 114.3 billion cubic meters
UK natgas output 32.7 billion cubic meters
Ukraine natgas output 18.6 billion cubic meters
Netherlands natgas output 18.1 bcm

All other Euro sources single digit.

Consumption in Europe 2021
Germany 90.5 bcm
France 43 bcm
Italy 72.5 bcm
Ukraine 26 bcm
Turkey 57 bcm
Spain 33 bcm
Poland 23 bcm
Belgium 17 bcm
Netherlands 35 bcm
UK 77 bcm
Total Europe incl smaller countries 571 bcm

Things to note, Ukraine’s gas production has cut in half from the 1990s. This happened for only one significant reason — they produced all that was there. Massive GAZPROM efforts were unable to reverse it, and no, there is no shale gas there.

UK gas production 2001 was 110 bcm. Now 33. Same reason.

This is the nature of scarcity. This stuff is not infinite. There is no law of the universe that says everything turns out bright and happy.

Dementia Joe did.

Could you prove that in court?

Me neither.

Blame him.

As I've been known to say, "I didn't say it was your fault, I said I'd blame you!"

As biden gets more Dorian Gray, the less 'life in prison' is a deterrent.

I'll be happy to blame him...

...for that and so, so, so much more.

I have no doubt that when Sleepy Joe abandoned $80 million worth of equipment in Afghanistan that there was plenty of US manufactured explosive material to go around. Any one could buy all they want for the right price.

There are massive gaz and oil deposits in the Ukrainian Northern Black Sea. This Putin invasion is trying to steal it. Ever since 2014 when Putin invaded Crimea and chased off Shell oil explorations. There was another Western oil company working with Shell.

I do not think you read your own article. Read it carefully. There are no quotes of exploratory drilling results. There are zillions of folks and stories around the world, pushed by wildcat drillers, of POTENTIAL. It’s always potential this and potential that, because that is what they sell.

They get paid to drill whether they find anything or not. You will discover, with study, that these outfits never buy leases. They let someone else buy a lease and then sell their service.

The North Sea came online in the 1990s. The world was/is desperate for gas. Qatar wasn’t particularly big in the 1990s. If there was anything attractive there, GAZPROM would have been all over it like white on rice starting year 2000. GAZPROM and Russia in general is so very richly endowed with oil and gas — ACTUAL, DISCOVERED, Diesel Rich oil and easy to get gas that they don’t have to go around drilling for POTENTIAL.

In the world of oil and gas, given 100+ years of exploring and production, it is ALWAYS, no exceptions, ALWAYS wisest to presume POTENTIAL is crap. If stuff was there, it would already be flowing, or have flowed down to zero.

lol ..so you will bet decent money against Black Sea oil and gas? This is not how Putin betted. Perhaps he was fed (a spy) some of the Shell oil/gas exploration results.

I am betting with Putin. And will read the article instead of skimming.

Never believe anything until it has been officially denied. https://www.mediaite.com/tv/bret-baier-clarifies-with-john-kirby-three-times-that-biden-didnt-blow-up-the-nord-stream-pipelines-day-after-tucker-carlson-declares-he-did/

Guy, I read every word. That’s how I knew there were no quoted exploration results.

The latest results I have seen from Ukraine declared Lviv region POTENTIAL bogus.

Look, this is not shocking or innovative. This is normal. Companies express interest. The locals splash the news. The agreement will require a few exploratory wells get drilled or tax/revenue sharing agreements get implemented — and usually both fail to occur, and that’s that, the company leaves. Here’s a good example:

https://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/06/business/international/chevron-and-ukraine-sign-deal-on-shale-gas.html

The headlines are a 50 year deal to develop the oil/gas resources in western Ukraine near Lviv.

Then: https://www.csmonitor.com/Environment/Energy-Voices/2014/1216/Abandoned-Chevron-gas-project-deals-blow-to-Ukraine-energy

In that article there is talk of the Black Sea off Crimea. The key parameters (all POTENTIAL) are small potatoes. 8-10 billion cubic meters of flow. Ukraine flows 18.6 already, in 2021, and consumes 26. If everything imaginable were there, which it never is, Ukraine might barely breakeven. No exporting and that means the partner company is stuck with regional pricing.

The amounts are so trivial there is no conceivable way Russia would even bother doing exploratory drilling when they have the Kara Sea, let alone do an invasion.

There’s Nothing There. Accept it.
