The Trump Organization will now be restricted in how it moves and reports its business assets as New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit alleging fraud by former President Donald Trump and his company moves forward, a judge ruled Thursday, appointing an independent monitor to oversee its activities.
An independent monitor will be appointed to oversee the Trump Organization’s activities and financial statements, New York State Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ruled Thursday, and the company is barred from transferring or disposing of material assets without giving advance notice to the court and James’ office.

This witch hunt against Trump became outrageous several years ago. It’s past that now and is obviously an organized political criminal action against him.
SCOTUS is going to have to step in and tell them that “that’s enough” and they must stop it. A matter such as this is too serious to wait for the matter to spend two years going through the lower Courts since so many of the Appeals and District Courts are ruled by Obama and Clinton Judges who are Trump-haters.
These new special laws and requirements that apply only to Trump are an abomination and harms not only him but the entire nation.
This is what fundamental transformation looks like.
I imagine the ruling will be appealed, all the way up as needed.
The state has basically seized Trumps businesses and taken control of them. it’s akin a communist nationalization or an ancient Roman proscription without the shedding of blood.
He can still run the businesses but at the states whim and caprice so it’s also like an enslavement.
So HAPPY to read that. Just keep her tied up with counter suits until she’s fired! And then sue her personally for all she’s worth! :)
You can’t move hotels and buildings. Don’t blame the victim.
Because the allegation is that he defrauded banks by overstating the value of his property. OK. So anything relevant to the value of his property or lack thereof should be under the supervision of a special master. But the day-to-day operation of his properties is about making money, not borrowing it, and they are authorizing what amounts to a hostile takeover of his property by this special master. Want to hire or fire someone? Special master. Want to sign a new lease with a new tenant? Special master. Want ladies’ night at your country clubs? Special master. Want to pay off a mortgage by selling a different property? Special master. Scratch your nose? Special master. It’s BS.
And that amounts to an unreasonable search and seizure. OK?
