Former President Donald Trump took a swipe at Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis at a rally on Saturday night referring to him as "Ron DeSanctimonious" in what could be a sign of growing tension between the two potential presidential candidates.

Desanctimonius didn’t want his endorsement and doesn’t want to be seen with him in public, hence the snub during Trump’s rally in Florida. He’s trying to keep the Romeny/Ryan wing of the party happy. It’s becoming more clear.
“DeSantis praised Trump thusly:
“When Trump was President, they [the Russians] didn’t take anything.”
Pshaw.
Oh no, Trump’s at it again. Responding to another candidate’s machinations is almost as bad as a nasty tweet. Did you hear that he also denigrated that fink, Pence? Oh, the huge manatee!

I bet you Desanctimonius is bang on the Money. Desanctimonius isn’t going to be at the rally and I bet his reasoning was, “I’ve got to be the Govenor for everyone”. I’m sure he gave a reason for the O’Dea that gave that feel as well. I would also be ok with Dephony.
Oh, the big bad Republicans, who've overseen this disaster going back decades. Like all the insider club Republicans who lined up to stab Trump in the back? The Republican party would be dead on the floor without Trump. Pay attention.

Why does Trump shaft his real supporters and elevate snakes to his inner circle at every opportunity? It was his biggest problem as President and it still is.

Can’t go with you there. Trump is our only hope for peace. People don’t want to discuss it, but our inflation is the result of the sanctions Biden/McConnell have slapped on Russian energy and other exports. If the war on Russia goes on endlessly like the war in Afghanistan, our economy will be crushed. Trump is the only politician calling for negotiations. He can run as the peace candidate - and win on that issue alone. Like Ike ran in 52 on the promise to end Truman’s endless war in Korea.
DJT normally plays 4 (or maybe even 6) - D Chess but this time he has fallen for a Queen - Rook fork.
And the timing, right before the Gov elections makes the comment especially underhanded.
Look at it this way.
Once we have our nominee in 24, the dark side will use whatever our candidates say against each other for their ads.
I want a spirited competition among our potentials, however I cringe at unwarranted internecine name-calling.
And, if Donald Trump wants to be our nominee, he should stop the cringeworthy nonsense, and apologize to DeSantis.
No more Trump for me. I’m done.

Ditto. These are *exactly* the type of unforced errors he really shouldn't be making. DeSantis has already said repeatedly he's not running for President in 2024. Trump needs DeSantis as an ally and a friendly one at that. This kind of shit from Trump is completely unnecessary.
If Trump faces meaningful resistance in the Republican primaries it's going to be because of crap like this and it'll come back to bite him in the ass.
I say that as a big Trump 2024 guy.
Desanctimonius is no friend of Trump. You’ll note the non endorsement. No doubt ita because he didn’t want it. Why isn’t he going to be at the rally in Florida? That makes it clear, doesn’t it?
Trump sounds like Cruz saying that -—— if he keeps that up then he beer have a dang good reason for doing so.

Desantis’s appointees just shut down sex mutilations on minors in Florida. Has any other GOP governor done that? He’s no phoney.

Desanctimonius is willing to support O’Dea but this would turn him on Trump? Interesting way of caring about the country. Just another Repuke.
I love Trump. Objectively though I do think it’s fair to assume that after having a dementia riddled incompetent President age will be a real concern people have and someone will make that an election issue and it will resonate with some ... maybe a lot ... who don’t want another President in his 80s for a while (Trump would turn 80 while in office).
