GOP mega-donor Ken Griffin said it is time for the Republican Party to move on from former President Donald Trump and look toward a new party leader. Griffin said in an interview with Politico that he supported the Trump administration's fiscal policies, but that he believes the party should gravitate toward other GOP stars. "He did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas," Griffin said. "And for a litany of reasons, I think it's time to move on to the next generation."

Not sure but I think they can be from the same state.
It’s not done because it’s good to have the top two from different regions of the country.

Who cares if DeSantis is backed by RINOs as long as DeSantis is not a RINO

If you paid any attention to how he ran his state, particularly during covid, you would know he isn’t a lip-service only RINO let along not a back stabbing pretend republican like Romney or Cheney.

Megadonors like Ken Griffin, Peter Thiel keep their wallets closed for Trump - Sep 2016

We need different megadonors.

How can you think Trump’s age is a factor? Who among us can keep up with him? He is at the highly functioning end of the age spectrum. Biden is all the way over on the opposite end and is a very old feeble idiot. If Trump were going to be 90 you may have a point but then again he could prove you wrong then too!

I don’t believe these people want DeSantis including National Review commentators. The night of the 2018 Primaries, Brit Hume was bashing Trump for endorsing DeSantis, because the other guy would have been an easier win.

Gov. Ron has to get finance from somewhere so that means key conservative issues will get chopped & diced at the sausage table...Trump is able to largely self-finance. Keep your eye on the eight ball.

If he is smart he will back off right after the election tomorrow and announced that he is not even thinking about a presidential run ā€¦if he decides to run DeSantis will be totally destroyed by the majority of mega supporters. He has the support of Florida yes very popular yes but across the nation itā€™s still Trump! If DeSantis wants to keep the base happy he will announce that heā€™s not even thinking about running in 2024 ! That would put a nail in the coffin of the RINOS elitist POS! I hope he understands what their evil destructive game plan isā€¦think tea party . These people only use folk and then spit them out after they have conquered their agenda! Governor DeSantis if youā€™re reading this please do not fracture the base but instead Unite us and you will be greatly rewarded with being our presidential nominee in the future along with being elected president! Donā€™t be like those POS backstabbing elitist globalist RINOS who constantly backstab the base! You do know we despise them donā€™t you? We hate turncoats just look at what happened to the backstabbing Cheney!

Its time to move on from printed, fiat, manipulated money - and the political-insider, Wall Street oligarchs it supports

Dear Mr. Griffin: Take your money and stick it where the sun don’t shine. That’ll help curb inflation.

I think you put a finger on what’s been bothering me about Desantis.
There’s something that makes me a little uneasy about him.
It’s the big name behind him.

That doesn’t automatically exclude him as my #1 choice in 2028...

ā€œMega donorā€ like the Koch Brothers?

Maybe not on the same scale, a megadonor nonetheless.

His last foray was in Illinois Politics trying to get the major of Aurora, IL elected as IL Governor.

It didn't go well, Griffin's candidate went down in flames in the Republican primary.

Griffin pitched a fit, moved himself and his company (a hedge fund trading company and a very large one at that) down to Florida.

Florida.

Coincidence? Nope.

I’ll move on from Trump and back DeSantis, but, for the 2028 election.

Meanwhile, Trump has the track record that makes him a much better candidate than DeSantis or anybody else, for 2024. So, Mr Ken Griffin, go ahead and back DeSantis, but, Trump will win anyway and your money for DeSantis will be going towards a loser in 2024.

Ken Griffin is the big dollar financier behind trying to buy the Republican primary for governor for Richard Irvin. After it was clear that he (Irvin) was going to be rejected by voters in favor of Darren Bailey, Griffin slithered out of town, even before the primary election. Beware of this turd (Griffin).

As for Ken Griffin, “He did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas.”

Griffin famously backed the Mayor of Aurora, Illinois, Richard Irvin, for Governor in the Illinois Republican Primary despite the fact it was obvious to almost all voters that Irvin was not a genuine Republican. Political consultants burned through millions of dollars trying to repackage Irvin as a Republican to no avail. Irvin finished a distant third in the primary losing the nomination by over 330,000 votes.

It has been stated he has had meetings with Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and the Billionaire, Ken Griffin and they are urging him to run.
