Former President Donald Trump unleashed a fiery screed Thursday evening critical of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who triumphed in his reelection campaign this week and is increasingly seen as a strong candidate to challenge Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

“We are facing a communist revolution and we fight each other.”

I guess it replaces the pro Russia/anti Ukraine threads!

Let’s figure out a new thing for people to fight about,
I think Coke drinkers are gay leftists. Pepsi drinkers are real Americans.

“So you will turn against him for saying something you don’t like?”

He is exposing a character flaa. No need for lying and name calling.

I have not seen a video of Trump saying anything like this. Doesn’t make sense to me. Trump voted for DeSantis as FL governor.

As a Floridian I say your post is a vile lie.

I’ll trust his opinion on this lifeless dud.

DeSantis is the future of the Republican party. Sadly, Trump is the lifeless dud.

A person who actually wants to make America great again, would be happy that there are others like Ron DeSantis on his side helping him.

A person who just want the credit for making America great again would be afraid that there are others who might get more credit than him.

What’s Trump doing?

SUCKER-PUNCHING a friendly? Trump is striking out at the wrong person and, I suspect, will live to regret it.

I'm one of the most loyal supporters on this planet but his crap is uncalled for. He appears to be showing that he's losing his marbles.

Someone better tell him to knock it off.

Well said and I basically feel the same way.

I did a whole lot of volunteer work for Reagan in 1980 and 1984 in Colorado.

I even got to spend a few minutes with him in 1984. He and my Dad had been friends since before WW II when they became friends in the Army.

Yes, RR knew how to do it right.

We cannot be needlessly eating our own.

What a sanctimonious little snot. Like you’ve ever put so much on the line for this country and taken the hits he has. Go back to sleep gramps and let the RINOs sing you a lullaby.

I hate that he’s doing this, but when you read his statement it is heavily focused on how the media has colluded against him in the past, and he now contends that they’re doing it again in what he sees as their attempt to anoint DeSantis as the 2024 Republican presidential candidate. I think all of that is accurate, plus there were stories a few days ago about DeSantis allegedly talking with McCarthy, the Bushes, and other establishment power brokers about a presidential run. If that stuff is accurate, I can fully understand why Trump would be furious.

I can certainly imagine the fury I would feel if I had single-handedly saved both the Republican Party and the country, only to be attacked and smeared relentlessly by media and deep state traitors, with my own party leadership not only refusing to defend me but actually assisting behind the scenes in the attacks. Then I clearly win re-election, receiving an unprecedented number of votes, only to be blatantly robbed of that victory, and again, with my own party at best standing aside and letting it happen, and at worst assisting with the theft. Along the way, I’m being impeached twice when I did nothing impeachable at all, dems at the state and federal levels are relentlessly pursuing me and my family members, trying to indict us for invented crimes, and yet again the Republican establishment is colluding with the enemy, even participating in a joke of a “commission” that is looking for any way possible to contrive a charge they can use to prevent me from running for President again (to make up for the win they already stole from me) in 2024. And to top it all off, when I simply demand that the 2020 election fraud be examined and corrected, everyone including my own party leaders (again) labels me an “election denier” and insists that I “move on”, obviously as anxious as the dems to get me out of the way.

And for my efforts to save this rapidly collapsing country I have to sacrifice my previously comfortable life and successful business. So yes, if I had been subjected to all of that only to see my party leaders again conspiring against me, this time with a “shiny new toy” who they are lavishing with all of the praise and support that they continually denied me, I would give an entirely new definition to the phrase, “pissed off.”

I love both Trump and DeSantis equally. We need both of them desperately, and Trump’s public lashing out is not good at all. However, it’s fully understandable. The people to blame for this are the slimy weasels leading the Republican party (McCarthy, McConnell, etc.) and lurking in the shadows (Bushes). And frankly, Trump is right that he got DeSantis elected, so I blame DeSantis too for apparently not respecting the situation and talking with the slimy weasels behind the scenes. Not a wise move.
