Former President Donald Trump unleashed a fiery screed Thursday evening critical of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who triumphed in his reelection campaign this week and is increasingly seen as a strong candidate to challenge Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

Are we this disloyal?

Disloyal to what?

The United States is not a monarchy, and Trump is not our king. The loyalty of the citizens of a Republic should be to the country, not to any one politician. If there comes a time when someone believes a particular politician is no longer the best option for this country, true loyalty demands that they boot that particular politician to the curb, and choose a new one who is a better choice to lead the country.

Since you quote scripture here's one for you:

“Pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Prov 16:18.

His pride and haughtiness are his Achilles heel. Call me simple all you want, but the truth is seldom complicated.

A country who can elect Trump over Biden won’t last very long. Trump expands the voter pool. Sounds like you want someone who will let you win not by popular support but by apathy. Maybe Ron’s your man

“Again, Trump shouldn’t be publicly reacting like he is, but his rage is ENTIRELY understandable.”

So he is losing it?

Let’s not turn this into a TRUMP/CRUZ battle.

* Neither has official announced their candidacy.
* However, TRUMP strongly suggested he is running. DESANTIS said more than once that he would not throw his hat into the ring if TRUMP runs.
* Plus, DESANTIS was just elected Governor. Not good to jump ship once a person is just elected.

“Trump has always correctly identified a snake in the grass.

I’ll trust his opinion on this lifeless dud.”

Seems about right.

Desanctimonius is no friendly. Seems like he’s got you fooled. He’s very obvious letting the media and the GOPe do his dirty work. Scummy

Can't stand how people claiming to be pro America as Trump does and that brought US results on how America can work with his strong bold leadership like President Trump has and now go off the rails on him over DeSantis. They literally fall all over themselves about DeSantis AS THEIR NEW RISING STAR!
ha!
How so many fall whatever the fake news media chimes in.

Sad but so predictable!
We as conservatives lose for this reason only to the dems. While republicans fight with one another the dems stick together and cheat right before our eyes while Republicans fight about our own! Pure Stupidity!

In Florida yes Gov. D is great. That doesn’t translate to all of us. If he trys to push Trump out of the way Trump might just say go ahead. I’ve had enough. Then and only then will you understand how good Trump was.

” Trump has always correctly identified a snake in the grass.”

Like when Trump nominated/appointed/embraced Christopher Wray, General Milley, Bill Barr, Mike Pence, John Bolton, Dr Fauci etc etc? They are all snakes on Trump’s Deep State Snake Farm

Trump shouldn’t be publicly reacting like he is, but his rage is ENTIRELY understandable.

If he were 6 years old, then maybe. But we have the right to expect some self-discipline and self-control from someone who wants to be the Republican nominee in 2024.

An emotion-driven blow-up like this (if that is really what this is) , is the exact type of thing that would cost him votes during a general election campaign. If he can't keep his mouth in check because his emotions get the better of him, then he shouldn't be running at all.

You’re being played. Trump is not picking the fight. Desanctimonius is pretending he’s not fighting but is actually very much using the media and the GOPe to fight Trump. He’s pretending he’s above it all while he gets attack dogs to kneecap Trump. He then pretends he has no idea what Trump is talking about. Trump has been responding to this Repuke.

He went to Penn, which is also Ivy Leauge.

True, but so are Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, etc.

They're all majoritively girl colleges (be the students "male" or female) but there are geographic differences.

But, by in large, they're inter-changeable in their de-masculinizing of their Alumnus and brain-washing the future ruling class.

I can’t believe a man in his early 70s would behave like this. It’s childish. One of the qualifications for high office is temperament. People have to be confident the candidate won’t flip out and do something catastrophic when he gains power. Trump is losing it.

This isn’t funny any longer. People are tired of it. That’s why truly talented politicians like Kari Lake aren’t wiping up the floor with duds like her opponent. She made the mistake of tying herself to Trump and I think people are done with him. He picked Oz in Pennsylvania and attacked David McCormick who would have been a better candidate and who was a Pennsylvania native. Instead, we have Fetterman. Trump is a lead weight. He should announce next week that he’s not running in 2024.
