Bingo. Go back to 2015 (people have forgotten). Jeb Bush, very successful Conservative 2 term Govenor of Florida. There is a reason he was the front runner ans there was a reason Trump went right after him. Bobby Jindal, Conservative 2 term Govenor. Chris Christie was an absolute star and known for tearing down Liberals in a Liberal state all for the cameras. Ted Cruz was a staunchly conservative Senator who wouldn’t compromise with the likes of Mitch. Govenor Scott of Wisconsin was an upcoming star who knew how to own the middle. Trump is not dumb. People are mad because they like DeSantis but Trump knows how to fight snd is willing to fight! I’ll also say I always respect that he calls you out and signs his name to it. Desanctimonius is pretending to be above it all while getting his surrogates to snipe and Trump and kneecap his every move. Trump has him exactly right.
With all this back and forth, it makes me wonder why Trump is picking this fight. He’s picking a fight with a fellow Republican ,who is potentially a valuable ally going forward, and who just won to major election victory.
I guess my question to people here would be , do you think it was a good idea for Trump to pick this fight? How does it benefit Trump to pick this fight?
Trump fights like a bully in a high school back yard. But that quality is not what elects presidents. If Trump is the nominee in 2024, he loses even more than in 2020.
Hillary brings out conservatives out of the woodwork to vote against her. That helped Trump win and also because Trump’s high school back yard bully behavior was not known. In 2020 Trump brought out millions of people out of the woodwork to vote against him.
Trump has done extremely useful job of showing us MAGA. Sadly his personality is his worst enemy and he has no chance to win in 2024.

I really hadn't thought about it until I read your post. If you are correct in your assessment than what was said about "Emotion versus Logic" on FR is quite TRUE.
