“ The framers of this system did not govern themselves as if the Articles of Confederation were null and void while they were framing this government.”
You are completely missing the situation in which we now find ourselves. We are not living here as the citizens were under the Article of Confederation. We are living now as Americans were under the rule of King George (the tyranny today from this government is actually far worse than under the British, but that’s of no matter on this point).
We are not framing a government, we have had the government taken from “The People” by the ruling government oligarchy. The system has already failed - multiple times and of increasing magnitude. The government oligarchy that now rules the people will not allow amendment or constitutional convention. They will not relinquish one iota of their accumulated power to anything except overwhelming force.
Well said.
A Constitutional Convention would probably be treacherous. I know many on this site support it but I think it is foolish to believe we would control it or it’s outcomes.
We will have to fight it out at the ballot in 2024 and see what happens.

That same idea has occurred to me as well.
It will be much harder to rid ourselves of this tyranny. But I see Musk’s conquest of Twitter as a first blow.
