I have a Technics turntable from 1982. Still works fine.
JBL 100s around the same vintage.
A DENON 80 watt integrated amp from the late 1980s.
A Yamaha tuner I bought at the same time as the amp.
The Nakamichi cassette player that I bought in 1982 went to the dump.
I also have a SONY carousel CD player from the late 1980s.
A few years ago a picked up a pair of Altec Lansing speakers at a garage sale for $20. They are about 4’ tall.
FYI, the Panasonic AM/FM 8 track stereo I reffered to in my previous post sits on the bench in my garage. The Thrusters speakers are mounted up on the wall. The eight track does not work anymore, but the stereo still cranks even though it is 45 years old. It was my first stereo I bought when I was 14.
Sadly , made in Japan audio components are a rarity these days . I play drums , and bought a new Yamaha kit about 9 years ago . It is one of the last kits to be made in Japan at the Sakae drum factory in Osaka . All Japanese drums : Tama , Pearl and Yamaha are now made in China .
Oops . I said my Trio turntable = Marantz . It’s Kenwood .
“Yes I would let the Itals do the upholstery and nothing else.”
You should tell the Marines.
Because the ACV is an Italian vehicle designed by Iveco.
