Indiana Democratic Party to give FTX CEO’s donation to charity

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Democratic Party will give a donation from embattled FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried to charity.

An I-Team 8 review of documents with the Federal Election Commission found Bankman-Fried donated $9,756.20 to the Indiana Democratic Congressional Victory Committee on Aug. 31.

Bankman-Fried made donations of the same amount to 10 other state-level Democratic groups on the same date.

Federal prosecutors charged Bankman-Fried with a host of crimes surrounding the collapse of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange.

Investigators say he intentionally deceived customers and investors to enrich himself and others, while playing a central role in the company’s multibillion-dollar collapse.

On Tuesday, prosecutors also accused Bankman-Fried of making “tens of millions of dollars” of illegal campaign contributions.

A spokesperson for the Indiana Democratic Party told I-Team 8 that the party will donate the money to charity.

They initiate this fraud with the understanding the "charity" will return the funds to the kleptocrat.

The courts are not obliged to endorse this phony move and instead will insist on reimbursing those defrauded investors.

An abortion mill? A transgender surgical clinic? An “Amnesty For Wetbacks” program?

I hope they have some bankruptcy judge that aggressively orders claw backs including seizing assets of those organizations that resist.

Hey, these are entitled Democrats, pal! They will donate to a Democrat charity! Hope the Bankruptcy Court forces the money to be clawed back to investors.

The receipt of stolen goods is a crime for non-Democrats.

Why not return it, so that the bankruptcy court can disperse it back to creditors?

Hopefully, even the ‘charity’ that would receive the money will know that it was stolen from other people, and will refuse the ‘donation’. If the ‘charity’ doesn’t refuse the money, then, they too are crooks and should be prosecuted.

I think the bankruptcy court has some control over these funds for up to 180 days? Will they try or would they prefer to let it go to recipient charities?

Bankruptcy clawbacks can be for as long as 2 years. If these idiots donate the money instead of placing in a blocked trust account (which is preferable) they could end up joining SBF in the Federal penitentiary.

This money was donated on August 31st. That means they used it for the mid term campaigns. Not only should they pay it to a charity that EVERYONE agrees on, but they should also pay a hefty penalty as well!

Millions of FTX donations to Democrat candidates during the last 18 months could be at risk of needing to be repaid to the failed cryptocurrency exchange, but some Democrats have said they will not return the funds.

“I’m not going to send money to a guy sitting in a Bahamman jail, that’s for sure,” Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) told WBUR on Tuesday. “That money is out the door helping to elect Democrats.”

Guess the ends justify the means!

How much money went to Warnock, that’s what I care about.

I was amazed/disappointed when no Republicans introduced this obvious question. So many millions of dollars, some of it went to Georgia.

If Warnock won with dirty money, I’m sure he’ll want to give back the election.

No doubt a charity run by a Democrat. Probably one of the thousands of charities started by Barack Hussein Obama’s Acorn. All they did was teach minorities to collect gubmint handouts, welfare, grants, sba loans, and how to avoid taxes, and live for free.
