McCaul on Ukraine Aid: ‘We’ve Destroyed the Russian Military Without One American Soldier Being Killed’
Breitbart ^ | 12/22/2022 | Pam Key

Posted on 12/22/2022 12:04:46 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Representative Michael McCaul (R-TX) said Thursday on CNN’s “At This Hour” that the United States giving aid to help Ukraine fight against Russia’s invasion has “destroyed the Russian military without one American soldier being killed.”

On Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech to a joint meeting of Congress, McCaul said, “What I appreciated about his speech, a couple of things. One were the parallels that he made to World War II. That would be my father’s war. When we go to Poland, they talk about 1939 and Hitler, and had we stopped him at that point in time, we would have saved so much blood, and treasure from occurring, and what we’re seeing right now is a struggle for the global balance of power in the world, and that is Russia, China, Iran and North Korea. Chairman Xi in China is looking at Taiwan and then Putin in Ukraine. You cannot bifurcate these world powers, and they’re all against freedom and democracy in the west. I was worried that it would be politicized, but I thought he gave a tremendous speech that was inspiring to not only the United States but to the world.”

The Cold War was inevitable. It was really a “war of religion”, there were no miscalculations, except on the part of Truman, when he forced excessive disarmament after 1945. The Soviets were truly dangerous because of the communist fifth column in the rest of the world.

There were no understandings possible with them, other than through fear.

The Nationalist Chinese were simply incompetent. They had plenty of materiel to fight with, it was just that they were lousy at fighting, and especially at inspiring troops. And they were facing far superior leadership in every way.

He has forbidden all media and journalists daring to criticize the Russian Government. True opposition parties are banned.

You know you are describing Zelensky’s Ukraine right there.

Consider the structure of the US military. Why does the US have 20 divisions between the active Army and the National Guard? Why is such a massive force structure, plus vast reserves of equipment, maintained at all?

There is only one reason - to be able to fight a powerful continental opponent, just in case. And that opponent isnt the Chinese, thats what the USN is for, and thats another discussion.

All the “little wars” the US has gotten into since the 1990s were sideshows. All this expensive power exists because of worries about Russia, and no-one else.

Welcome to war. The US and Britain banned pro-Axis politicians and media in WW2.

I think executing Lord Haw Haw was a travesty of justice. Maybe 10 or 20 years, but executing someone for words is a bit harsh.

Ukraine has only banned pro-Russia sources as they are under Russian attack, they haven’t banned simple political opposition.

That is some fascinating audio, to hear Hitler in his normal speaking voice, it was much deeper than I would have expected.

Was it the gassing effects?

The Cold War started during WWII by Stalin. The Chinese Nationalists were about to crush the Reds in ‘46 but the US wouldn’t let them finish the job. The Reds were allowed to recover and the rest is history.

The Soviet Union had fanbois throughout the globe who wielded tremendous influence.

Does modern Russia also have fanbois? Ok, sure, but in general they wield little to no influence.

Of course not, the Reds had infiltrated the government big time by then.

If true then Russia would be justified in firing some of those nukes into our country, right?

It’s common knowledge, that a couple of months AFTER Russia invaded Ukraine that the Ukrainain parliament voted to suspend pro Russian parties engaged in anti-Ukrainain activities. Perfectly normal to do so in the middle of a war, not doing it would have been an insult to common sense.

After Al-Qaeda leveled the twin towers do you think Washington would have allowed radical islamic parties to operate in America? Evidently no.

For your knowledge Russia is leveling entire towns in Ukraine and wiping out villages.

Simon de Montefiores books on Russia.

Russian history from the 12th century onwards.

“Moscovite Russia and her successors in the shape of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union have been descendants of Chengiz Khan’s Mongol Empire”
- Prince Nikolai Trubetzkoy

The Great Duchy of Muscovy was established via a blessing of a Khan of Mongol Empire to his vassal, Daniel I of Moscow:

Daniel of Moscow - Daniel I of Moscow was a son of Alexander Nevsky who, while being a revered figure in Muscovy and its descendants, was doing Mongol’s bidding, and excelled at it, to the point of his progeny being chosen to run the area, following destruction of Kievan Rus’ at the hands of Mongols.

Yadegar Mokhammad (Tatar: Yädegär Möxämmäd, Yädkär, Yädegär, [jædeˈɡær mœxæmˈmæt]) (died 1565) was the last khan of the Kazan Khanate, occupying the position from March–October 1552. He was the son of Astrakhan khan Qasim II. Between 1542 and 1550 he was in the service of the Tsardom of Russia. In 1550, he participated in the attack on Kazan and then joined the Nogais.

He was captured in October 1552 when Russian troops took Kazan. In 1553 he converted to Christianity, assumed the name of Simeon Kasayevich and lived in Moscow as a Russian nobleman.

I guess you haven’t noticed the price of gas is moving back down to civilized territory, and supply chain induced inflation is moving down too. The American people are voting with their dollars to celebrate a good Christmas, and with their feet to visit family and friends. Meanwhile unemployment continues at low levels.

“Absolutely disgusting”??????

Ah a uniparty Biden Ukraine supporter on FR saying things are all hunky dory? Guess you had better update your profile which reads:

I feel we face some very tough times ahead which will require a maximum of cooperation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and faith. I hope to transmit and originate ideas and knowledge that will facilitate the above. I want to find the best and most useful ideas of others to pass along.

Guess you changed your mind? That said, got any stats to prove your rosy observations? Not likely because everything costs more...Inflation “officially” is nearly 8%, and anyone with a brain knows it is much higher. Yes, you can get a TV for a good price, but try to put food on table. Inflation is not supply-chain induced. It is GOVERNMENT SPENDING...ECON 101 (I think you can take it free online.).

I always check my positions with the global elite, uniparty, and swamp. So, Granny, you feel Biden is doing a spiffy job? Economy doing well? Sure...Where you are getting your news...Perhaps you are getting yours from CNN and MSNBC? May I suggest you look up Steve Cortes for accurate economic info.

Though unemployment may be down (if you choose to believe this administration LOL), there are massive layoffs that have been implemented and scheduled in high paying tech sector....maybe they can work for McD’s until McD installs AI/Robots...

Why do you think gas prices are down to what you deem to be “civilized levels” ? Certainly not long-term Energy independence? Though I don’t have a PhD in economics I did take courses in undergrad and grad school, and I am fairly certain prices are down due to recession/decreased demand and flooding our supply with Venezuelan and strategic reserve gas.

Not sure where you live, but gasoline locally for me is over $3.00—Gee when Trump was Pres., it was under $2. I turn off lights, and my electric bill is over $400/month. My natural gas bill is up 50% from last year, and I consider myself lucky as some people are paying triple from last year.

Look at Mortg. rates. The housing market down nearly 20%—a TRUE indicator of the economy (not feel-good Xmas), stock market declines, credit card rates and usage up up up. Sorry, IMHO you are living in a dream world if you think the economy is actually showing any long term improvement.

Absolutely disgusting? Yes...Regardless of what people are spending at Christmas, we don’t have the money to support Ukraine or any of this spending...Regardless of one’s position on Ukraine (Clearly you support the proxy war with Russia), WE DON’T HAVE THE MONEY—REGARDLESS OF HOW GREAT IT IS THAT ‘AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE VOTING WITH THEIR DOLLARS TO CELEBRATE A GOOD CHRISTMAS ADN THEIR FEET TO VISIT FAMILY...”

Am I going to have a nice Christmas? Of course. As a Christian, I make it a point to celebrate the birth of our savior...For Christmas season, I have lights outside, inside, etc. Sunday, Ham, turkey, enough food to feed the entire block...Gifts, etc. However, I am not going to be deluded...it is a holiday. What is the definition of a holiday? A DAY of festivity or recreation. It is not an economic cycle...real life will continue into the months of Jan. and Feb. when those holiday bills come due.

So yeah, I think what our “representatives” did is Absolutely disgusting!!!!!! But hey, fly your yellow and blue flag on your FB profile and enjoy Christmas.

BTW, I’m going to make a note to check back in 6-8 months to see how your comments have aged...I think my comments are going to age very well...Yours? Not so much. Hope you are right and I am wrong, but I just don’t think so.
