What’s this “we,” kemosabe? And what is this “empire” of which you speak, and the “treaties” “we” signed pledging not to “add” Kosovo to it?

The Rambouillet Agreement of some twenty years ago gave Kosovo some autonomy, but it remained part of Serbia, though under NATO “management”. Kosovo, however, unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008. Over one hundred member states of the UN recognized Kosovo’s independence from Serbia. However, Kosovo is NOT a member state of the UN.
Kosovo seeks admission to the EU, as does its close ally Turkey.
