Blinken renews vow to 'repair, replace, defend' Ukraine's energy supply

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken renewed his vow on Tuesday to "work tirelessly" with Group of Seven partners to "repair, replace and defend" Ukraine's energy supply throughout the winter as the country faces more attacks from Russia.

"We will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes," Blinken wrote Tuesday in a tweet. "A tough winter lies ahead for Ukrainians, and we will work tirelessly with the G7 and other partners to repair, replace and defend Ukraine's energy infrastructure."

The initial shipment of equipment from the United States, to help restore Ukraine's infrastructure damaged in ongoing Russian attacks, was delivered earlier this month.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said in a Facebook post on Dec. 17, that his country had already received its first tranche of the much-needed equipment from the U.S. Department of Energy.

"This shipment is part of the $53 million aid announced by American partners last month," Kubrakov said.

I do care somewhat about the Ukraine, mostly their displaced citizens but the U.S. needs upgrading & it’s our homeland. Doesn’t anyone understand that we need to be in shape before we can effectively come to the aid of other countries? Lets keep track & see how many help us when we get in great need. Thanks to Biden & the Democrats, they have just let everything go to pot in the U.S. If they are so fired up about helping Ukraine then send Biden & his bunch over there. They can apply for citizenship as we don’t need them for anything here.

“And then there’s nat gas, from a couple of weeks ago...”

Nice! Looks like the idiots in Europe maneuvered themselves to be stuck using our energy at several times the price of their former Russian energy.

Real GENIUSES there!

Our energy is going to the same place our tax money is going: other Deep States.

There is only one Deep State.

Did you hear that Russia cut off exports of metals to ‘unfriendly’ countries?

So China can keep going with their military expansion, while we have to hunt around for replacements (and good luck with that!).

Another AWESOME result of this Neocon War.

Our electrical grid is in poor shape. So is our open border. We are borrowing money to send over $100 billion to Ukraine while our own country is in decline.

I’ve always believed that when America wants to pick a fight, our politicians should be the “first boots on the ground” and they should all be issued a copy of the ROEs that they and their shyster lawyers came up. The American government has killed more American military people with their so-called “rules of engagement” than have been killed by all of America’s enemies put together.

No, I haven't heard but I'm not surprised. Absolutely everything this current government does fails miserably including the Ukraine and Russian sanctions.

It is of my opinion that if Blinken had done his job, he could have negotiated with Putin and stopped this before it began.

But, where is the profit in that?

Too bad we can’t get Blinky to do the same for America’s energy supply. Unfortunately, the Brandon Administration’s motto is, “Everybody Else First!”.

Is Blinken your boss? Is that who pays you to post obfuscation on FR?

It is clear to everyone that you are an agent provocateur.

Is it Blinken? Or Garfinkle? It’s either State or DOJ.

Or else you work for Milley. Or the See Eye Hay.

Fess up.

It is clear to everyone that you are an agent provocateur.

Why would they think that? Because I simply post the morning and evening news stories (concerning the Russia-Ukraine War) of interest to many people here, using FR authorized news media outlets according to the Terms of Service.

Is United Press International no longer allowed at FR? Or the BBC? Or Sky News? Or AFP? Or CNN or Fox News or the other major news organizations?

What is allowed and acceptable?

Note that I never post random V-Blogs or "alternative" news sites which are sketchy at best.

Perhaps the truth is that you simply don't like the news and are blaming the messenger?
