The famous American work ethic helped the United States become the economic superpower of the 20th century.
But experts warn the decision to prioritize careers over families has set the country on an irreversible path to economic destruction. The reason? People do not have enough children anymore.
A baby boom in the mid-20th century saw the average woman give birth to between three and four children. Today, just 1.6 children - the lowest level recorded since data was first tracked in 1800.
This could lead to economic devastation in America down the line - as the federal government would need to collect more taxes to fund programs such as Medicare and Social Security - while dishing out less benefits to each person.
The downward trend of American fertility has accelerated in recent decades, as the 'Instagram generation' of millennials and zoomers prioritize their careers, travel and relaxation over building families.

A woman I work in her late 30s told me that many of her friends are choosing not to have children; the reason basically being they want to have fun and don’t want the responsibility of being parents. It’s as if they are prolonging childhood/adolescence deep into adulthood.
At least they'll reproduce. Native born Americans are too woke to bother to reproduce.
It should be part of the Conservative culture to encourage families with 3 children.

I might get in trouble for saying this but the big push to get women out of the home was a mistake.
It roughly doubled the number of people working, meaning lower wages.
Then it convinced men and women their career was more important than having a family.
Now there are not enough American kids around.
By the way I am not denigrating one parent staying at home. Raising kids is a LOT harder than working at the factory.
I know because I am raising one alone, and work is my safe place.
It is also a fact that many young people no longer have the ambition to work. Working from home and receiving government subsidies is much more appealing.
I’m sorry I don’t believe in popping out babies for the “economy”. Just an excuse to bring hordes of freeloaders here
In Pfizer’s Covid ‘vaccine’ trials, most pregnant women lost their babies. Birth rates are dropping all over the world in heavily vaxxed locations, at a greater rate than the years prior to the ‘vaccine’.

I'm seeing a lot of white Texans in the past few years who are procreating like mad. These days, if I see a pregnant woman, 80% of the time she's white.
Basically what you are saying it was a big mistake to give women what they were demanding.
Well they got what they wanted. Still unhappy as ever.
