Another sign they would be losing is if they start yet another draft of half a million to a million Russians. That would be the ultimate proof they are going nowhere in this war. It’s a debacle.
They have lost so much ground already these last 3 months.
A whole year of war losing ground, having their army depleted, 50.000 dead Russian soldiers and another 50.000 injured, deserted or taken as prisoners - in less than a year.. that’s more than all combined American deaths endured during the entire Vietnam war that went on for... 10 years!

The mental and emotional instability of Putin’s destructive leadership can only spur the Russians that want to get rid of him.
They’ve been making noise about nuclear weapons from the beginning.
Mostly designed to keep NATO out of Ukraine, and to keep NATO from giving Ukraine weapons.
That hasn’t worked and they ended up with NATO arming Ukraine.
They didn’t use their nukes over that, now it’s become “we better not lose or we’ll t really use our nukes.”
They don’t want to fight NATO and so it’s probably unwise for them to do stuff that would lead to a fight with NATO.
Will Russia lose? No idea. But a friend with military background versus the Russians says Ukraine should be able to start expelling Russia when they get 70,000 new mechanized troops in May.
He says it might take 2 to 3 years of war to totally expel Russia.
I think someone will step in before that to end this thing. Hopefully President Trump.

President Reagan was talking about the Soviet Union. Get back in your time machine and go home to the 1980's. The Soviet Union no longer exists and Russia isn't the Evil Empire you dream of fighting. They just want to end the persecution and killing of ethnic Russians still living in the Ukraine by the self identified NAZIs.
Yet we whipped up a proxy war as an excuse to rebuild our outdated military weapons that were left in Afghanistan when Slow Joe Biden ordered our troops to skedaddle and for the opportunity to take down President Putin just because they think they can.
