Theres sexual indiscretion in all churches that are big enough and have been around long enough. But the ‘little boy’ problem seems to be unique to the Catholic clergy. Its not that much of a wild stretch that the celibacy mandate may be related. Not that celibacy turns people into child molesters but that in this day and age it cuts down massively on the recruitment flow until you have conditions conducive to a large percentage consists of the type of guys who are uh....looking for cover.
Homosexuality, and not by any stretch priestly celibacy, is the root cause.

I went to a Jesuit University. I met there some very scholarly, urbane old Jesuits, and some fruity, young (very likely) homosexual Jesuits.
What bothers me most is their hypocrisy. Even in the 1990s, the world would not have cared if they were homosexuals, but they chose the ONE profession which of course was against homosexuality and demanded celibacy, and then live a LIE.
