I dont think this is loyalty. I think it is Trump circling wagons against Biden and Garland. He could hate Pence for all we know but it is convenient right now to align with him even if Pence had no say in this alignment. It’s pretty smart if you ask me. Time will tell though.
Garland wanted to indict Trump so bad he could taste it. Now it's a political issue and he no longer can get away with it.
