Much worse was my Alabama Power bill this round. Almost doubled. Course I only have a heat pump on my AC units.

Much worse was my Alabama Power bill this round. Almost doubled. Course I only have a heat pump on my AC units. #MeToo. I'm an Alabama Power customer, all-electric house, with a variable speed heat pump with heat strips. In the January power bill I calculated the cost per kWh as 15.2692¢/kWh (after first subtracting $15.60 as monthly flat fees from the total bill before dividing by total kWh pulled from the grid).
That 15.2692¢/kWh is up 19.5% from January last year. NINETEEN POINT FIVE PERCENT!
