Fighting Wagner is like a ‘zombie movie’ says Ukrainian soldier

Southwest of the city of Bakhmut, Ukrainian soldiers Andriy and Borisych live in a candle-lit bunker cut into the frozen earth. For several weeks they have been confronting hundreds of fighters belonging to the Russian private military contractor Wagner throwing themselves against Ukrainian defenses.

Disguised in a balaclava, Andriy recounts one seemingly endless firefight when they came under attack by a flood of Wagner fighters.

“We were fighting for about 10 hours in a row. And it wasn’t like just waves, it was uninterrupted. So it was just like they didn’t stop coming.”

Their AK-47 rifles became so hot from constant firing, Andriy says, that they had to keep changing them.

“It was about 20 soldiers on our side. And let’s say 200 from their side,” he says.

My understanding of the Wagner Group is that they have a good percentage of released prisoners out of major facilities that agreed to fight for some reason or another.

I recall my first days in the Army when our Sgt told us of one of the cadre being court martialed for for having a sexual affair with the CO’s wife. This Sgt explained he was an example of what makes a good soldier simply because he’s willing to take risks.

Later on I discovered we were encouraged to steal from other units. In Vietnam our CO led a convoy of 2 1/2 ton trucks to a supply depot where we stole them blind. We were also encouraged to get into fights at the enlisted club.

My point is, those participating were willing to take risks and when in the battle field are less apt to freeze, run or do something stupid and get killed. And another point is that’s exactly what this Wagner Group is, thugs that take risks every day and think nothing of it.

Now look at today’s woke Army, how many risk takers do we have? How would they stand up to the Wagner Group?

It’s not wise to start a proxy war on the border of a nation that has a hell of a lot more nuclear weapons than you do

If you believe the story then you aren’t smart. Replace the sides with each other, add artillery and aircraft on the Russian side and you’d see a real picture.

There’s 600k more behind them.

They should have signed the treaty in April.

Doesn't matter. We have better tech. But when we fight the Russians, that's when the nukes will be used.

The French will die for love.

The British will die for honor.

The Americans will die for freedom.

The Russians will die.

In other words, they will NEVER stop until they win.

The United States did In 2014 when they did a Regime change In the Ukraine and then made it play state weaponized it, trained soldier
s,and then they made a place where they could launder money. You see the truth is that the intelligent agency they don’t want to get their money from budget in congress that way congress can’t control what they do By withholding money from their budget. so they have these little side things they do to pull in a lot of money.
This is how the US lost control they are intelligence agencies started making money on the side so They have a budget that can’t be be cut by congress to stop them from doing this or that

How would they stand up to the Wagner Group?

In past encounters and provocations, a unit of the US Army called in an artillery strike that completely exterminated a 300-man unit of the Wagner group. They didn't mess around with "proportional response" to a threat. Things got very quiet afterwards in that area, and they stayed quiet.

I don't know if we still have commanders left who would do that sort of thing today. But whoever attacks first is probably going to win.

“NATO won’t let Russia win. They will send in troops.”

Which is as stupid as it is dangerous.

Russia will wipe them all out, also.

NATO will only be shoveling innocent young men to their deaths in the corrupt and dishonest toilet known as the “Ukraine.”

Does the name Borisov ring a bell? Borisov is suspected of stealing hundreds of millions of US taxpayer cash before he fled to Israel.

Too many Stingers for close air support to get away with it, and enough SAM’s to keep larger bombers relegated to standoff long range missile attacks.

Ukraine needs an actually significant number of HIMARS and / or some M777-ER. Some light attack aircraft would be very useful too, though losses would likely be considerable.

Not many of there around anymore:

If they had air support this battle would have been over months ago.

You can call it all propaganda. But, Russia should have rolled through this area in a day. Instead, they are fighting in trenches like it’s 1915.

Let’s face it…they are not a modern military.

AKs reign supreme as a fighting rifle. Can’t break them and even if you did it’d still work, ammo is cheap, minute of man at 450 yards, and if properly built, are MUCH more accurate than that.

We’ve never won a war against enemies using the Kalashnikov.

Ukraine is deep state central. That’s why the left is so committed to defending it. Of course the vast majority of the money is being laundered back to the deep state.

Some of the first run models with machined receivers would surface from time to time in Afghanistan.

This is bull$hit cnn a$$wipe propaganda.

They’re trying to up-sell the Wagner’s.

No way they took heavy casualties against Uke infantry, and just poured more resources into the fight...

Stupid premise, waste expensive troops and training, against inexpensive hillbillies...

Fastest way to ruin.

But nice try cnn.

Good troops will attack continuously, but they won’t take casualties... because they want to dislodge you from hardened positions, so they can dispatch you in the clear.

Zombies...?

Yeah, ok.
