Biden skewered for claiming Republicans call for ‘defunding the police department’: 'Bad standup routine'
Fox News ^ | March 10, 2023 | Alexander Hall

President Biden slammed "MAGA Republicans" during a speech at the Finishing Trades Institute in Pennsylvania, and personalities across social media skewered him for it.

Biden gave a speech at a union training center in Philadelphia, where he contrasted his campaign agenda against Republican priorities.

"I just laid out the bulk of my budget," Biden said to the audience. "Republicans in Congress should do the same thing. Then we can sit down and see where we disagree."

During the speech, he called out his opposition and appeared to slam the Trump-supporting base of the Republican Party. "MAGA Republicans are calling for defunding the police department," he claimed.

A variety of commentators on the Twitter platform condemned the president’s rhetoric as either uninformed or dishonest.

Former House candidate and author Josh Barnett commented, "all he does is lie...no MAGA Republican ever said to defund police!!! but we did say defund the crooked FBI til they stop attacking Americans for political retaliation."

The Pedophile turd roller is a friggin’ liar. The Retard missed the part where every turd rolling Democrat came out and demanded that all of the police departments be defunded. Then he tells us it was the Republicans. The boyz dementia is really kicking in.

"Republicans in Congress should do the same thing. Then we can sit down and see where we disagree."

No, but I know it won’t happen. Republicans in the House should create their own budget and hold firm. Shutdown government if they have to. The budget they create should be balanced from day one. A lot of government needs to be cut. What would you cut or what would you keep? Here’s a list, it contains some duplicates due to the people using multiple ways to refer to government organizations.

What part of government would you shutter or reduce funding to immediately balance the budget? The following list is derived USA.gov. It contains duplicates given the different ways people refer to government organizations. The are some organizations not listed on USA.gov. I’m not going to bother to list them.

Note: it might be easier to choose the parts of government to fund.

It’s the US Space Force, a new separate service, not Space Command, which is a unified combatant command for all military space operations, while the Space Force is the military service responsible for organizing, training, and equipping the majority of forces for U.S. Space Command.

I know, picky, but also there is a difference.

Agree 50% of the bureaus in could be eliminated in D.C. and nobody would notice it until savings were noticed.

Spend waste repeat has been the order to long.

Easily 50%.

I’m thinking it would be an interesting idea for Congress to crowdsource the organizations to be eliminated. First, refine the list I posted. Eliminate duplicates, add omissions and provide a sentence or two description of what the organization does. Then add some granularity and hierarchical organization to this list by enumerating the programs the entity supports. Include a description of the programs and the current funding dollar amount. For instance:
- Department of Agriculture - $141 Billion
—— National School Lunch Program - $14.2 Billion

Finally open the list to the public for 30 days so people can vote up or down. Everyone gets 10 votes up and 10 votes down. Your up vote will negate another’s down vote if one exists. Your down vote will negate another’s up vote. Allow people to see the current up/down vote for each organization and/or program. You can use your vote at the root organization level, e.g., Department of Agriculture, or at the program level, e.g., National School Lunch Program.

Keep a real-time total budget amount for the entire government based on current voting results and the expected total revenue so people can see if the budget gets balanced.

People are allowed to change their votes until voting ends. At the end of voting, Congress takes all the entities with negative (more down than up) votes and eliminates the organization, it’s funding, and any law, regulation or procedure/process associated with that organization.

Imagine how the establishment would go nuts as the votes are made. Groomer teachers giving up votes to the Department of Education and only to be smashed by homeschooling associations. CNN and MSNBC would be making constant appeals 24/7 to their viewers to up vote the Department of Environmental Protection. FoxNews pushing for DoD and DHS. Sean Hannity pimping the FBI. (I really don’t care what any news organization says, I know my picks).

I have no idea how well this would work. Note: I wrote it would be an interesting idea, not a good idea at the beginning of this post.
