I’ve got a YUGE garden this year.
Sadly, the best Pecan trees are flowering and we had a killer frost this morning and scheduled for tomorrow. I expect the nuts to be sparse.
I got a couple of others that haven’t even broke dormancy so that’s good. But my two major bearers, that yield hundreds of pounds, will probably have a single bucket at most.
Lots of critters around this Spring. Deer, squireels, groundhogs, possums, and coons, so if I have to, i got meat.
Also just filled up my big propane tank, so I can cook. I got two fireplaces and a wood stove and acres of trees, but the cold isn’t a big deal down South, A/C is!
Last thing I need is a diesel generator and some fuel for it. I just can’t afford to go solar but some day, not this year.
I’m screwed if I can’t get my medicine, though. I need to get some sheep and extract insulin from their pancreas’es. I’m a type 1.
