But it's easier to go after parents defending their children from smut.
My church, of all things, was hacked with ransomware. Demanded $2 million. Negotiated down to $25,000.
Still replacing hard and software.
Back in the early 90,’s I wrote a letter to both my senators after there was a breach of the State Dept. consular database ( utilizing a windows vulnerability that had a patch released 6 months prior that they never installed) suggesting that they needed dedicated units whose sole purpose is to concentrate on these issues. I got letters back from both of them that basically laughed at me saying there was no need. They spoke with the FBI and were assured our systems were secure.
Because Wray said it, its not true.
Maybe the FBI should spend its time hiring hackers to go after the Chinese instead of undercover narcs to go after regular patriotic American citizens.

Problem is they 100% would not target Chinese hackers or anything China with that money.
No one believes that.
They would target Americans the regime doesn’t find acceptable. Guranteed.
What amazes me is we’re a technological power house, but get “out hacked” by inferior powers.
Our technology is the best, China & Russia can’t match up in any way. They’re inferior from a military perspective.
Yet, until 2012 only 4 entities had put a space capsule in orbit & brought it back:

China
Elon Musk

i was writing code when i was 11. of course, that was the beginning of the 80s when we promoted interest in such things.

Whose fault is that, Wray? It’s our nation’s intelligence agencies who are too busy going after conservative parents who are worried about their children’s education, along with those who trespassed at the Capitol on January 6th.
It is the FBI’s fault for spending years coordinating the Russia/Trump collusion Clinton criminal conspiracy with the democrats rather than looking after the nation’s security. So don’t try to act all concerned now!
