Fox News picked Lawrence Jones to be the temporary replacement for the time slot that used to feature the highly rated Tucker Carlson, who was unceremoniously ousted a week ago.
Jones, 30, is considered to be the "youngest black solo host of a cable news show in history," according to the Daily Mail. Newsmax had Joe Pinion, now 39, as a host before he left the network to run for Senate to vie for the seat held by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.
Jones, a self-described libertarian, is expected to host starting Monday night after Fox News has struggled to keep viewers in Carlson's time slot. Its audience plummeted from an average of 3.2 million viewers with Carlson to 2.6 million tuning in Monday, 1.7 million Tuesday, and just 1.3 million Wednesday.

I’m sure Jesse Watters 7:00pm show will overtake the 8:00pm time slot. Not that I care about FNC anymore.
He’s an uninteresting black libertarian which will have to fill his show with pap and filler, and very lame ‘man on the street’ interviews, and if you’ve seen one of those, then you’ve seen them all. He’s going to flop right out of the gate. Fox is doing this because they’re only paying him a tiny fraction of what they were shelling out for Big ratings Tucker.
His diction is horrible.

Needs so bad to belong thar he calls the other hosts “family” all the time, they are all white.
Fox checked boxes with him from the very beginning.
That being said, he’s perfect for a show I will never watch on purpose.

So you really think Lawrence Jones is a Libertarian? Mr. Jones worked to get Barack Obama elected President. Barack is no Libertarian. IMO Barack is like his Grampa’s best friend, a communist.
I hadn’t watched any cable news since Gary Condit and Chandra Levy were the only people on the planet deemed newsworthy.. I came back for a few months after Sep 11, 2001 but quit again by November 2001.
I hadn’t heard of tucker carlson until I recently found him on youtube. I hope I can hear him again on some venue. I don’t need it to be video.
Lawrence is good, but very few people care about Fox News at this point.
I suppose that opens up his weekend timeslot.
Jones seems to be a great guy but no one has the guts of Tucker. It will be bland and boring. Not even going to tune in. Waters is the only other one with some of Tucker’s toughness
He’s been hosting a Saturday night program on Fox since they retooled the Saturday lineup. He was Hannity’s street reporter for a while. He’s a Blaze alumnus.

He is a good man but I think he is setting himself up for disappointment.

He worked for O’Keefe at Project Veritas, for The Blaze, and now for Fox.
I loved that segment that Tucker did exposing the acting of that black politician in Tennessee that got kicked out. It was great. He exposed so many for being actors and actresses. No one will do that
Whitlock is working at The Blaze now. He has sat in for Glenn Beck a couple of times.
He “worked” for Obama? How? He would have been 14 years old when Obama announced. I’ll give him a pass on that if he supported a Democrat as a teenager. Kids do the darndest things. Tucker used to be Democrat, too and then was a “moderate” when he was on CNN and first joined Fox.
