This is complicated by the fact that both are residents of Florida.

I used to really like DeSantis, but now I’m not sure Trump could trust him.

DeSantis would be a great VP. Trump could teach him the ropes and when ‘28 came alone he’d be ready.
It’s a dream ticket.

Gee. The sponsor of this poll, wewantdonron.com, must have been pleasantly surprised at the result.

I like the metaphor of Trump and DeSantis throwing jabs at each other. It reminds me of sparing partners as team mates getting in shape for the big fight. When they get into the ring with Biden, they will beat his ass like a tin drum from both sides. All the king's horses and all the king's men will not be able to put Branden together again (my metaphor for the POS and his Dem dominated media).

Just a friendly reminder here that winning the election is not the hard part. Trump did that in 2020 but he is not living in the White House.

“If President Trump were to select Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as his vice presidential running mate”
I said this, what a year ago? Now? It seems a bit late, but in politics, you just never know.
Maybe its all a grand scheme? Ron DeSantis, a national unknown, would gain exposure and experience running for president.
At the convention, Trump could pull a Ronald Reagan and pick DeSantis for VP (Like Reagan picked Bush 41, the runner up in the primaries)

I have mixed feelings about such a ticket. While I do think it’s a winner, nevertheless, I would like to see De Santis remain governor long enough to cement the positive changes he’s made there since taking office as governor. Not being familiar with Florida politics, I don’t know if there’s someone in the wings who can carry on with the same policies.

It’s going to come down to “how can we beat the steal” and the only answer is by getting such an overwhelming majority that it can’t be done.

They should poll a Trump/Kennedy and a Trump/Gabbard ticket just to see what the merging of competing Populist supporters would generate.

Interesting to see people’s responses here.
I guess we’ll see a little over a year from now who Trump picks as his running mate. I sure hope it’s someone who people here are OK with.
I would hate to see Trump supporters say they cannot vote for him because of who is running mate is.
He is not going to pick Liz Cheney or someone else who is unpopular on the Republican side.

Trump needs to seriously consider the trans vote. Caitlyn Jenner for VP!
