It’s not dereliction... it was an open 4th Amendment violation that began against a Presidential Candidate that continued throughout his Presidency... compromising National Security as it led to his NSA advisor resigning.
Back in the day I recall it being said that the Clinton administration was seeking backdoors into computers so they could spy on folks.
Around the beginning of Trump’s tenure such exploits were “discovered” ... long wondered if it was so he couldn’t use them the way they had been.
