My main worry about an Article V COS is the media.
The original convention it was agreed among the delegates that there would be no press. They pretty much kept to that. How do you keep today’s media out? If involved, how did you keep them from turnout it into a 3-way cross between a circus, a political convention and the Super Bowl?

Perhaps the technological progression of every person having access to nearly everything works in our favor? While the mass media still guides most idiots they've shot themselves in the foot backing too many lies and real conspiracies favoring partisan interests over what's best for America...and most people are now aware of that as more proof of that keeps emerging with no end in sight.

I'm saying a Convention of States could demonstrate to the masses how using chosen representatives is far wiser than depending on the same process that determines televised popular singer contests. Allowing media access to the decisive events of the Convention would give citizens the feeling of participation, seeing their chosen representatives there as avatars of their interests and welfare.

With skillful production and editing it could engage even the dimmest of our citizenry while re-establishing a nationwide passion for civics and responsible government. I'm all for voting the traitors off the island and having a bailiff whack their peepees.
