Michigan's fourth-largest school district is having "significant" performance issues with its expensive electric buses, issues that come after the Biden administration spent $1 billion to "transform America's school bus fleet" with electric models.
During an April 19 presentation to the Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education, the district's environmental sustainability director, Emile Lauzzana, highlighted a number of issues with the district's electric bus fleet. Those buses, Lauzzana said, have "a lot of downtime and performance issues" and aren't "fully on the road," despite the fact that they are "approximately five times more expensive than regular buses." The infrastructure upgrades required to use the buses, meanwhile, were "originally estimated to be only about $50,000" but "ended up being more like $200,000," according to Lauzzana. "I have a number of colleagues in different states who are facing similar challenges," the district official lamented. "For the school bus market, it's been challenging for us."

Only thing they use schools for now is CRT training and other Marxist classes.
I had heard, some time ago, that EV's do not function well in cold weather. So, perhaps they won't have to ride in one of those thing on a cold winter morning, because they won't be functional.
Although, it is certainly not a matter of the cold in this instance, as we are in May, and cold weather non-starting should not be an issue. However, it is --- they don't work. Not that, that seems to matter much to the people in charge; but, why spend this amount of cash on something that does not work?
It certainly looks that way.
Believe it or not, Fairbanks Alaska actually has an electric school bus.

Gov Gavin Newsom bought electric BYD communist Chinese buses when he was mayor. They could not get up the hills and broke down frequently.
In April 2020 he stole $1.6 billion and said that he was going to buy face masks from the same BUS company. No masks ever arrived and the money disappeared. This was his buy in to the democrat party to run for president.
