FWIW, every single person that I know who is gay or lesbian was molested as a child, pre-pubescent kid, or early in their teen years, by an adult.
For the girls, it was by an uncle or older family member, and for the boys, it was often a coach or father figure type. For one, he was outright raped as a kid in a group home situation. Another country, but still. I’m sure that happens here.
