If Trump is indicted, Republicans will unite behind him — which may be what the Biden administration (thinks it) wants, believing Trump would be easier to defeat than his rivals. But that is just the beginning. The Department of Justice, which has never apologized for targeting Trump in 2016 and the years thereafter, will have completely discredited itself by targeting him again. Not just in the eyes of Trump supporters, but in the eyes of the world.

When Democrats tried to impeach Trump, they repeatedly declared that no one is above the law. But no one is beneath it, either. They called Trump’s indictment in Manhattan in April unprecedented. And so it was, not because of Trump’s conduct, but because no president or presidential candidate has ever been subjected to the kind of abuse, surveillance, and harassment, that Trump has — and over what are, inevitably, petty allegations.

Trump was impeached the first time because, we were told, he tried to have his leading opponent investigated. Now Biden and Garland are doing exactly that — and while Trump’s suspicions of Biden’s corruption were well-founded, and have serious national security implications, Trump is being accused of misplacing dinner napkins. Indicting him, for this, would open a Pandora’s Box and unleash passions that will not easily be controlled.

Yeah, I saw that too, and my BS meter immediately pegged.

Indite Trump and EVERY LAST DEMOCRAT POLITICIAN from local dog catcher to Joey Crappy Pants should become an instant target of every prosecutor with a set of balls!!

Follow the Democrat play book, charge EVERY DEMOCRAT with the same BS charges used against Trump. Remember, Democrats believe the severity of the charge is all that counts. Truth is irrelevant.

They aren’t even trying to hide the Political Indictments.

It tells me that Republicans have assured the FIB and Justus they won’t touch any funding. Republicans are playing along. Tim Scott said, we have to let this play out.

fwiw The two impeachments were not mentioned one time during the 2020 campaign.

I don’t know why he would be the approved opposition candidate?

it took collusion of almost every industry and institution plus rampant cheating to beat him vs the GOP that won’t rally around him no matter the egregiousness.

Trump made the mistake of not ordering the Justice department to investigate/prosecute Hillary Clinton. Had he put that lying corrupt bitch in legal jeopardy, all the bullsh*t she pulled to promote that Russia conspiracy would not have happened.

Trump being kind is what got him in trouble.

When the hell are patriotic Americans that actually have a working brain cell (not Democrats and RINOs, obviously) and know and see what the communists, our enemy within Democrats, are doing....

going to rise up and finally say ‘enough is enough’ re: this obnoxious and blatant tyranny and government over-reach?

Obama’s ongoing fundamental transformation of America into AmeriKa needs to be brought to a rather screeching and abrupt END. By any means necessary.

Our founders, forefathers, parents and grandparents didn’t put their lives, their fortunes and that of their families on the line for this BS. Too much blood has been spilled ensuring our freedom in this nation for us to just roll over and play dead and dumb.

What...the....hell is wrong with most Americans now? Has there been a massive mind-control experiment success? One has to wonder.

Agree and add that IF they nail Trump they will all be PUMPED to GET all Republican Nominees from now on or until the federal government collapses which, one way or another, it ultimately will.

Trumps rivals have no chance to win. That is why they want to indict Trump.

November 2024 will be all about the 20% of voters who are sometimes inclined to switch parties. Will the indictments and trials of next year sway them away from DJT?

We shouldn't be at all surprised if voter fraud + the endless chants of "Trump's a crook" will make for bad news.

I’ll take a contrarian view here… That he may get away with one indictment in New York City on hush money or a civil judgment against him on sexual assault , but to have something along the lines of an espionage (Act) or mishandling of national defense material/obstruction charge, is going to be a bridge too far for a lot of average, non-activist people…

Already there are GOP candidates positioning themselves to take on Trump and I can see them on the field already happily and ambitiously ramping up if new and big ticket indictments hit … There is no shortage of grassroots Republicans that are just plain tired of this guy: I know he is a damaged bill of goods… 6 in 10 Americans do not want Trump to be president again for recent polls… a majority also feel current investigations are not uncalled for.

Even if Republicans were to unite, the largest group of voters in the country is now, not GOP but Independents , and combined with Democrats (95% anti-Trump) there’s no way pro-Trump GOP makes it to electoral majority… Trumps negatives among Independents are pretty high these day, too high in fact.
