The FBI caved to congressional pressure Wednesday night on the eve of a contempt vote, agreeing to let all members of the House Oversight Committee to see an informant memo alleging Joe Biden was involved in a $5 million bribery scheme as well as some related documents.
The committee’s chairman, Rep. James Comer, R-Kentucky, announced the deal just hours before his panel was to vote to find FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt.
“After weeks of refusing to even admit the FD-1023 record exists, the FBI has caved and is now allowing all members of the Oversight and Accountability Committee to review this unclassified record that memorializes a confidential human source’s conversations with a foreign national who claimed to have bribed then-Vice President Joe Biden,” Comer said.
“Americans have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially and demand answers, transparency, and accountability,” he said. “Allowing all Oversight Committee members to review this record is an important step toward conducting oversight of the FBI and holding it accountable to the American people.”
At issue is a document known as an FD-1023 containing allegations from a confidential informant in June 2020 that Jie Biden as vice president traded US policy for money to his family. The committee now will also be able to see two earlier documents from the same informant related to the allegation.
Comer told Just the News the allegations involve the country of Ukraine and remain under investigation by the bureau, and have not been disproven as Democrats have suggested.

Comer said 13 times since Monday that bringing the Doc to Capitol Hill, anything short of not turning over the Physical Document to Congress, would necessitate the Contempt Vote on Thursday.
McCarthy stepped in and sided with his friend.
“The FBI initially offered to allow Comer to review the document at FBI headquarters, but amid Comer’s threats to hold Wray in contempt of Congress, the bureau offered additional accommodations to bring the physical document to Capitol Hill.
Despite the accommodation, Comer said Monday that the FBI is still not in compliance with the subpoena to turn over the physical document to the committee.
“At the briefing, the FBI again refused to hand over the unclassified record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee,” Comer said in a statement. “And we will now initiate contempt of Congress hearings this Thursday.”

Constitution experts and former Justice Department lawyers said the FBI did not have a legal leg to stand on if they didn’t comply with the subpoena.

If they actually turn over anything, it will either be completely fake, or redacted to the point of uselessness.
But on the bright side it will let ‘both sides’ to ‘save face’ while letting the peasants think that the ‘white hats’ won one for a change.

The world needs to see the document. If R’s had a copy,they could read it into the record, and bingo. All Americans can see it. MSM will publish it, or at least it will be downloadable.
BUT...the FIB is NOT handing it over,as the subpoena demands. Once again, they’ll let people see it in a SCIF, and that’s all. Problem is, they’ll insist it is now classified, so R’s can’t quote from it.
We’ll never see it. R’s lose another, on purpose. No Wray Contempt charge. No impeachment.
