Republican voters see Donald Trump as a more favorable GOP candidate than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the 2024 presidential race, and the former president has huge advantages in key demographic groups, according to a poll released Wednesday by NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist.
Trump has a 76% favorable rating among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, compared with 67% for DeSantis. Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., notched 50%.
White voters without a college degree, with 85%, say they have a favorable rating of Trump, compared with 60% for DeSantis, while women (81-61), white evangelical Christians (81-60), people with an income of less than $50,000 a year (83-59) and voters in small or rural towns (83-61) say nearly the same.
DeSantis has an advantage among men (73-71), voters in big city, small city and suburban areas (72-70), white people with college degrees (70-65) and overall college graduates (71-65).

The NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll of 1,327 U.S. adults was conducted June 12-14. The margin of error for the overall sample is 3.5 percentage points.

My guy is imploding after than a sub steered by a video game paddle. Never should have brought on bush leaguers. Unless he disavows the RINOs and grows a set to dismantle the deep state I will be voting for Trump.

Shouldn’t NPR be doing a poll asking Americans how they feel that the Bidenskyyy chimps are above the law and can get away with not paying their taxes and illegally having a firearm.

And nothing from NPR should be considered as factual. They are the "voice of Sauron" representing the Democrat party and the Deep State.
I will be pleased to vote for Trump in the primary and in the general election. If DeSantis wins the primary, I will shrug my shoulders, vote for DeSantis, and hope for the best. I don't have very high expectations either way.
And if a Democrat wins the general "election" and is appointed President, I will continue "voting by other means". Ballots will have become totally unimportant in that event.

Not to mention that although DeSantis is a horrible, evil, deep-state POS - we’re told that if he’d only bent the knee, Trump would have selected him as his VP running mate.
I wonder why they’re even reporting this. They could as easily just fake the numbers - or maybe they have?

Good question, it’s not like the NPR audience is interested in the GOP primaries.
