Too funny - they see that Putin is now STRONGER than before the coup, so they now have to claim he staged it.

But one question: Did Putin also ‘stage’ the aircraft shootdowns that killed dozens of Russian soldiers?

The coup was staged, and completely faked false flag operation.

Some people, including many FReepers, have terrible political instincts.

And then there was the footage of Prigozhin sitting a bench in Rostov-on-Don

Xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Did anyone see where it was reported that Prigozhim was also a movie producer?

Vlad zelensky was formerly an actor

So my question would be how much of what we see is made for tv clown show?

Oh geez. Shut up. F’ing Newsweak. We all know the CIA got ripped off by the Wagner guy... who probably gave Putin and Biden a cut. Hell we already made a bunch of Ukrainian Generals rich.

If true why can’t Putin stage his own January 6th like the “Deep State” Biden Gang did?

It’s a way to deal with internal opposition and has been imitated in Brazil on January 8th and in Pakistan on May 9th of this year.

Nonsense. No one has explained to me why Putin would want to appear weak.

a juvenile delinquent turned convict, then hot dog salesman, then CEO of a multi-million dollar catering business serving the Kremlin, to finally commander of the world's most formidable mercenary force.

Sounds like the life story of a lot of US military recruits who turn their lives around and become great sailors and marines and soldiers and airmen.

It is utterly implausible that Prigozhin thought that he could take on Rosgvardia, Russia's National Guard, a 340,000-strong domestic security force reporting directly Putin.

What nonsense. For anyone to claim they know what is plausible or not, in this very strange war, makes them a very poor source.

What is the purpose of the supposed plot?

From the article: Think about it: An army invades Russia, race right up to Moscow, and no one gets hurt? With just a few thousand men, it achieved what Hitler with almost a million men wasn't able to? And Putin holds his military back? And then, with Moscow supposedly within his grasp, Prigozhin decides, "Oh well, never mind" and heads to Belarus?

Except, mischaracterizes the facts. If a rear guard of Red Army had attempted this, from behind the lines of most of the Red Army, in 1943, it might have been similar.

What military did Putin have to "hold back"? How much was sympathetic to Prigozin?

And, Wagner was 120 miles from Moscow, just when Wagner would have started running into potential resistance from the Russia National Guard. Wagner was not "right up to Moscow".

So many silly assumptions. All to push a theory of how smart the Russians are.

Think the “missing” Pentagon $6.2 Billion... did Putin just take the CIA to the cleaners?

Koffler is FORMER CIA , DEA operative re Russia. SHe knows exactly what she is talking about.

NOw the Wagner group will be reconstructed in Belarus, Putin has tactical nukes there. And the war has widened and will be waged not only on the east of Ukraine but on the NOrth of Ukraine with a possibility of invasion of NATO countries.

THis is a strategy known as reflexive control doctrine in the Russian military, and the West fell for it all.

REbekah should be listened to.Or there will be many sorry people.

Is not Newsweek part of the corporate media that supposedly condemns “conspiracy theories”? What is this story doing if not theorizing a conspiracy?

“None seemed to realize the obvious truth.”

Terrible writing. This person presents zero evidence of anything but then labels her unfounded opinion as “the obvious truth.”

my take is that the CIA tried to pay mercenary’s hired by Russian intelligence to turn on Putin. The mercenaries took the down payment and then pretended to do a rebellion long enough to get the rest of the payoff.
