Leftists always consider other people’s property free for the taking or destroying. When it comes to their stuff, that’s different.

I immediately showed this to a Norwegian who works with me. Two data points from him: “Rodt” translates as Red Party, and they’re not just “left-wing”, they’re outright communist.
I once walked out of drug store with a greeting card tucked under my arm. I’d paid for the other merchandise but had forgotten about the card, and the clerk didn’t notice. Happily, it was something I immediately noticed before getting into the car, so I was able to pay for it without having to drive back to the store. Very embarrassing though.
I’d have given him the benefit of the doubt but the sunglasses were no longer on top of his bag when he came back into view, so, at some point, he’d put them into his bag, knowing he hadn’t paid for them.
He was liberating the glasses in the name of the people.
