Scientists are running out of extreme adjectives to describe the state of the world’s oceans.
Global sea surface temperatures are spiking off the charts. The North Atlantic Ocean, in particular, has for months been engulfed in what scientists have said is an “unprecedented” marine heat wave. The Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean basin have also been unusually warm. The waters off the coast of Florida topped 100 degrees F multiple times this week — temperatures comparable to a hot tub.
What’s more, some scientists say the worst may be yet to come.
“We’re not even at the height of the summer,” said Svenja Ryan, a physical oceanographer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts. “Typically, the ocean continues to warm until September, so I think certainly we can expect this heat wave to last into the fall.”
“As a scientist, you know this is well within the range of what climate models predict would happen at some point, but to see it actually happening is kind of scary,” she said.

Never before high seen water temps being recorded near Key West.
“ never seen before high water temps being recorded near key west”
I meant.
Climate Hysteria = Chicken Little
“Experts without real jobs.”
Propaganda.
Doesn’t warm water = rising sea levels? Wake me up when Obama sells his beachfront property.
Running out of adjetives? The dire predictions would be scarier if anybody still believed them. Hype can only get so hyped.
Assuming they're telling the truth in the first place.
Great. Less people starving.
Telling lies for personal gain... and stupid people believe this shxt.
“The waters off the coast of Florida topped 100 degrees F multiple times this week”
1. I heard once
2. I DIDN’T hear that the data had been validated or that the equipment was verified to be functioning within acceptable parameters and or in calibration
3. Gotta keep that federal grant money flowing somehow
For them, repetition is perfectly appropriate. That is how propaganda works. It doesn’t need to be right, and they don’t care if people are annoyed that they see it over and over again.
I don’t even think they care if it is rejected by people for them, it is the quantity and frequency of the propaganda they aim for.
All they care about is the steady, drip, drip, drip infiltration of information into peoples brains where they get glassy eyed, and just except it after a while.

Warm oceans caused hottest Dust Bowl years in 1934/36
Two ocean hot spots have been found to be the potential drivers of the hottest summers on record for the Central US in 1934 and 1936. The research may also help modern forecasters predict particularly hot summers over the central United States many months out.
The unusually hot summers of 1934/36 broke heat records that still stand today. They were part of the devastating dust bowl decade in the US when massive dust storms travelled as far as New York, Boston and Atlanta and silt covered the decks of ships 450km off the east coast.
"The large scale ocean conditions in 2011 and 2012 were very different from 1934 and 1936, suggesting an event of a quite different nature," Dr Donat said.
"Only very rarely have we seen these very specific ocean regions warm at the same time over the past century, but those combined warm anomalies were never as stron
"The US has been very fortunate that it has not seen a repeat of this coincident ocean warming at such a level. Should this ocean warming reoccur in exactly the same constellation, because of climate change it is likely the temperature impacts would be even more devastating and those old records may be surpassed."- https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/05/150504101248.htm
A single spot near Florida reached 100 and that is proof that Oceans everywhere are hotter than they ever have been?
Excellent science (rolls eyes)
