Not enough people have yet thoroughly had it with the Union government. Wonder what it will take?

“It is quite possible that you will no longer be able to buy some headlights and tail lights for your car as well because they are incandescent.”

THAT would be a total non-sequitur.
Automotive bulbs don’t run off the f’n grid!
Anybody working to outlaw incandescent automotive bulbs is too stupid/evil to be allowed to keep breathing.

You are lucky then. Mine last maybe 6 to 9 months, start flickering and then fail. I have a few that have lasted a long tine, but most of the LED’s that I have gotten follow what I call the “Green Rule” - They cost twice as much and work half as well.

The LED tubes I just looked up are 14 to 28 watts actual.

Many of the "T8 LED Bulbs 4 Foot" are rated at 40 Watt equivalent.

During my quick search I did not find 40 watt actual LED tubes. Not saying they don't exist. OK, just now I found a 36w (actual) by ShopLED, equivalent to 72 watt fluorescent.

Oddly(?) my daughter’s relatively cheap smart phone takes darn good color accuracy pics with its LED flash. I assume corrections are done with software in the phone.

There are plenty if high quality led bulbs for headlights that offer close to halogen patterns.

They cost 100+ for a pair, but they are out there.

This is why people use the cheapo amazon/ebay 30 dollar leds that do as you describe.

Anyone’s LED bulb/bulbs blinking or flashing , going crazy after a few years of use ?

Yes. I just changed out LED bulbs in a yard lamp in my front lawn. We've had three of them in the lamp between 5 to 10 years, and they stay on every night. Last week I noticed one blinking, and it was driving me crazy over several nights so I changed them all out. An incandescent won't blink like that. There is an electronics board in the base of LED bulbs, and components can go bad over time.

I have a lava lamp similar to that hooked up to my computer - uses a USB connection. The bulb gets very hot (has to melt the wax inside).

“LEDs last years longer than Edison bulbs”

I have to disagree with you. I have 6 incadesant bulbs in my hanging dining room fixture and at least 2 bulbs in 2 bedroom fixtures since 2006 that have not gone out yet. On the other hand, the LED cam lights I have bought for over my kitchen cabinets, have gone out several times since I had to replace the original bulbs.

Another of government overreach that in the long run benefits no one. Remember those low flow toilets were were forced to buy ...the ones that often require multiple flushes to do the job? How about those curly CFL lights that were supposed to save the planet? Trouble was that they contained toxic Mercury creating a Haz Mat incident if they were broken and a permanent hazard in landfills whenever they weren’t properly disposed at a hazardous materials facility. I buy LED lights because they last, though not the years often claimed. LED bulbs also come in a confusing array of spectrum “colors” ranging from glaring blue white to others varieties that make colors look odd.

I like LEDs and have been using them for up to 10 years for lamps and flashlights. Bulbs since 2016 from my Amazon history. I can have one lamp with a LED that can change colors of the spectrum and far cooler then the older bulbs and use far less energy. I have only had 2 bulbs stop working after years of use while others became dimmer. Most have no issues. The old bulbs would have some go out every month and usually with a SNAP! BANG! noise.
I get 100 watt equivalent A19 bulbs and 150 watt equivalent A21 bulbs.
I also have several portable lights for car and home repair. LED strips for under cabinet lighting.

Light colors:

I like 5,000K daylight bulbs. I have floor lamps with a splitter so I can have 2 bulbs with each a 150 watt equivalent but only using 23 watts a piece. My place does not heat up in the summer as the LEDs are far cooler.
I have a table lamp that has 4 colors and are dimmable as well.

Amazon has a big selection. Also look over the many lamps.
Both fit the standard light socket.
150 watt equivalent using only 23 watts - 5000K, 2500 Lumen

Nice flashlight. I bought 2 in Jan, 2013 and they still work great.

“Anyone’s LED incandescent bulb/bulbs blinking or flashing , going crazy after a few years of use ?”

Some of the first LEDs had blinking problems when used with a dimmer switch, I think newer ones solved that problem.

I like others have a couple cases of old bulbs that will never be used by me at least.

Those silly screw tail leds don’t last like they promised. I drop them off at Walmart and the box hardware stores when they go out.

They don't but LEDs do and they do it much cheaper. I don't think heat lamps are banned but if they are there are real heat lamp substitutes available as well as heat strips. I have a regular heater hooked up to a thermostatic switch which only comes on when needed.

LED lamps are superior in every way. I have a five light bar in my bathroom because old people need more light and they run for the same cost as a single 60 watt bulb and for a real eye opener get one of the multiple bulbs made for your garage and actually be able to see something for a change.

I am 85 years old and can tell you for sure I hate our rights stealing government as it is now but LED bulbs are just better and cheaper to operate. The Incandescent bulbs would disappear even if they were left on the market because people may be slow to accept change but they will recognize better products. Same goes for the reengineered low volume flush toilets they are vastly better than the old crappers, just try them before condemning them. I admit I nearly always use the long flush mode out of habit mostly. Can't say the same for dishwashers and other household appliances don't know if it is design flaws or just sloppy manufacturing.

How about those LED powered giant TV's like Costco has, $495 for 75 inch this month, less than a 17 inch tube TV used to cost and it uses much less energy.

i considerr all thesr whizbang digital cameras in these smartphones on the same level as the old Kodak Brownie camera ...everybody has one.

were it not for all the advances in reconnaisance electronics and satellite technology, se sould still be taking 35mm film to be ruined by the part time blonde at Walgreens.

LED light quality sucks PERIOD.

Says someone who doesn't know how to use them. You can buy them that produce any color you want including ones that produce light exactly like the old bulb. In the mean time scrap that LED powered Flat screen TV you likely have and see if you can find a big screen Tube TV.

And I say that as a user of MANY LED lights and bulbs.

People better get over the small things and figure out the Elite has grown weary of the little people polluting their planet and they figured out the easiest and cheapest way to handle it is to just eliminate the user of the products, not the products.
