You make a good point.

But here on Free Republic, liberal states are constantly criticized here. Nobody is thinking about the history of how many Native sons of any state fought in wars or any of that.

On Free Republic, people are simply thinking of the liberal politics of many states today, not any issues about the history of that state.

There are very few red states that have the right to crow over the rest of us these days. Take Austin, TX for example. Or Atlanta, GA.

Used to be that Connecticut was a reliable conservative state until the Democrat run hellhole cities like New Haven and Bridgeport built up such teeming populations of poor people reliant on government assistance, that they swamped the rest of the state.

Unless things change, it will only be a matter of time before the big cities in Texas turn that state blue as well. Especially as millions of Mexicans continue to pour over the border.
