Mike Pence admits he believes that he could have stayed the Senate count for the 2020 Presidential election

Beginning in the summer of 2020, when myriad states, legally and illegally, changed their voting rules in a way that removed all safeguards against fraud, it was clear that there might be problems in November. Then, on election night, six major precincts — election outcome–changing precincts — stopped counting votes altogether. When you add in all the other evidence adduced in subsequent weeks showing fraud (including Biden's unbelievably soaring vote count long after the election ended), there was good reason to question the election. Mike Pence has now conceded that he believes he could at least have opened the path to question election fraud.

On Sunday, former vice president Mike Pence, who is running for the Republican nomination, announced that he's been clear that he had no right to do anything other than to certify the election.  Appearing on CNN's State of the Union (which means he's courting Democrats, who despise him for his stands regarding abortion and homosexuality), Pence defiantly threw Trump under the bus:

Former Vice President Mike Pence on Sunday trashed his former boss Donald Trump for allegedly attempting to overthrow the 2020 election  — and defended his actions on blocking the ex-president from doing so.

"What I want the American people to know is that President Trump was wrong then and wrong now. I had no right to overturn the election," Pence said on CNN's "State of the Union" while stumping in New Hampshire.

"By God's grace, I did my duty under the constitution of the United States and I always will."

Pence, along with Congress, certified the election of President Biden as the winner of the 2020 election — over Trump's objections.

However, when appearing on Fox News, Pence suddenly had a different version of events. He admitted that he could have rejected the electors on January 6, 2020, which would have turned the matter over to the House of Representatives (AKA the people's house), but did not do so because he feared "chaos" (which I take to mean he was afraid of what leftists would do, given their propensity for "mostly peaceful" riots that burn down cities and murder people)

He could have, of course he could. What could thr courts do if he refused to certify. Would any other politician be bold enough to do that in 2020. With thr exception of Trump I don’t actually think anyone else would have pulled that Trigger

Pence’s own words to a crowd of supporters days prior could be seen as provoking the crowd but he was never charged just like he was never charged with having classified docs in his house which as VP he was NOT allowed to have, gee I wonder why he had those documents, to sell? But Smith made a deal with him, turn traitor and save your own ass or go to jail

Weasel. Instead of giving the states the ability to get the process he took the “ pontius pilot” Inwash my hands of the decision

but to have interfered with the election certification process would have been in opposition to the agenda he signed up for when he chose to stage his own coup.

RE: pence is not my concern.

Pence isn’t going to be NEAR the nomination.

BUT, He is a concern. He could lie on the witness stand to help convict Trump.

Pence is a liar.

He knows that not only did he have the authority to send the vote count results back to the states for verification, he had an absolute duty to do so.

The founding fathers intentionally gave the VP, in the capacity of President of the Senate, the duty to review and certify the Presidential vote totals as a final check and balance on the critical process of electing the President of the United States in the event of fraud or conspiracy in the election of the President.

The founding fathers were extremely concerned about the integrity of the voting process and protecting it from fraud, corruption and foreign interference. They put in other such checks and balances such as the electoral college. In fact, the VP’s duty can be seen as a integral part of the checks and balances that put in place the electoral college in the first place.

It is unclear how far the power to refuse to certify incorporated in that duty extends, but it certainly extends to refusing to accept a disputed vote count and sending the issue back to the state for verification and resolution. The VP's duty was put in place to address exactly the kind of issue we saw in the rampant voter fraud that took place in 2020. Pence abdicated his duty. Had he sent the issue back to the states to address the obvious voting irregularities there would have been a more legitimate outcome that would have avoided much of the chaos we have seen these last 3 years.

“Instead of giving the states the ability to get the process..”

Sorry, all 50 states sent Electoral Ballots to Congress.

Not a single state legislature voted to recall ballots.

Not a single state legislature voted to send an alternate slate of Electors.

Congress voted to accept all the Electoral Ballots as-is (Congress can reject ballots for any reason, but they didn’t reject any).

The ‘Tellers’, 2 Senators and 2 Congressmen, counted the Electoral Ballots. The Tellers sent a report to Pence stating that Biden had won the Electoral Ballot vote. Pence then read out the ballot count.

Blame the States or Congress. There is no dispute about the fact they had control over the Electoral Process.

He’s as bad at making excuses for himself, as Hillary was, coming up with excuse after excuse as to why she lost the 2016 election.
