Former Houser Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) said he supports the opening of an impeachment inquiry into President Biden but advised Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to “go very slow” in the process.
“Open the inquiry, but go very slow,” Gingrich told NBC News.
“We should open the inquiry, because it allows them to ask a broader range of questions,” Gingrich continued. “But we should move very, very, very slowly beyond that.”
McCarthy said last month that the findings from GOP probes into the Biden family’s foreign business activities “rise to the level of an impeachment inquiry.”

F him making out with Pelosi on the couch
On other threads, some Freepers opine, that this inquiry will go slow, and will be so slow, that soon we’ll be in 2024, and will be an election year, and the GOP will abandon impeachment efforts, due to it being an election year.
Stay tuned. Maybe that will happen.
Very slowly. Just don’t go for impeachment and have the Senate acquit so the Trump DOJ is prevented from going after the Biden crime family due to double jeopardy.
(Double Jeopardy is one of Trump’s defenses, IIRC)
He’s got PTSD from the Clinton impeachment. That was 35 years ago Newt. Get over it. The news was never gonna be on your side. These bastards impeached a President after he was out of office. Pussy.
WHY???? - if any elected official commits impeachable acts they MUST be impeached!!! The voters need that protection. Other than the occasional election day, it’s the only recourse we have. There is nothing sacra-sanct about impeachment. Do it!
Is taking millions of dollars in bribes what they call “foreign business activities”?
I think he’s right. Go slow. Drip drip.
Personally I think they should move slowly for two reasons.
1) Be methodical!
Get it right. Don’t step on your dix rushing it.
It’s better to succeeed than to be fast.
2) 2024 election.
I’d rather go against Biden than Newsome.
If you give them a chance to switch electors at the DNC convention, he would be out.
I don’t see how they could go any slower Newt
That makes sense...or it could be giving Biden the Nixon option. Wouldnt that be an appropriate way for history to remember Biden by?
I want the inquiry just slow enough that Joe’s numerous crimes and disgusting, corrupt behavior is shown to the world in slow motion. And blared non-stop from conservative news outlets 24/7.
capitulation.
And it's not like the Uniparty really wants to do anything about the corruption anyway.
A waste of time. Fence-sitters can see it. No way you get 67 votes in the senate. Do it the day after the November elections. Let the rino squishes vote their non-conscience.
Ideally, I think the impeachment vote in the Senate should come in mid to late October, 2024. Dems that vote against impeachment will be remembered by the voters. If the Senate will not remove Biden, the voters will know it’s up to them to remove Joe and his DemocRat protectors.
“2) 2024 election.
I’d rather go against Biden than Newsome.

Part of the problem is people overthinking this stuff, trying for clever “strategery” instead of just doing the right thing, play it straight, and let the chips fall where they may.
Agree!
There are two tracks here:
1. This one that has a very low probability of success - Impeachment, Trial\Conviction and removal by the Senate. If you let the dirt just continue to pile up maybe 17 Rat and some RINOs will get religion and vote to remove. I wouldn’t hold my breath on this!
2. Higher probability of success is where it influences the 2024 election. The dirt piles high & higher so that the “low infos” & the Suburban Karens & Soccer Moms will no longer care about the mean tweets so they will either vote for Trump or stay home.
