If one of his minions signed a name to a doc “under his direction” that would be forgery.

Given five minutes of thought, there are probably a hundred circumstances where this could happen. But if it happened when tied to another “crime”, they will charge.

I’ve seen this happen st state level cases, and they are used to roll up a plea deal. If you don’t plea and the judge doesn’t like you…it can be used to add time and dollars to the sentence if there is a guilty verdict.

If you think a Federal Prosecutor can be a nit-picky jerk…imagine your County DA on the world stage. In my county, the thought of our DA this type of stuff is downright scary.

No, it is not forgery if done at the direction of the person represented.
