Well gee if that were the case and Trump is so easy to beat the Dems would not be trying to put this man behind bars for 1000 yrs they would be propping him up, having him on their networks like they did in 2016, licking his behind because they thought that he was the easiest to beat against Hillary til they found out he would win then they turned on him

They also want to destroy Trump’s legacy so that 5-10 years down the road, when the country’s in the crapper, people won’t think positive about Trump.

You kind of miss the point of their efforts. They appear to be timing this so that Trump wraps up the nomination and THEN gets thrown in prison, leaving the GOP without a viable candidate and an angry and disillusioned base. As I have said before, once Trump entered the race, 2024 was a lost cause for the GOP. If 2024 is about Trump, we lose. If Trump is not the nominee, the OnlyTrumpers stay home or write Trump in, and we lose. If Trump is the nominee, a lot of people who would have voted for him otherwise will not vote for him once he is convicted, let alone actually jailed - and he WILL be convicted in at least one of these cases, the deck is too stacked against him. In at least two of the cases, there is no hope of a pardon (NY and GA). Even assuming he could get all of the convictions overturned, that cannot happen until he is convicted and then it would take years to get through the process. I can pretty confidently say that neither NY nor GA would allow him to remain free during the appeals process.
