9/11 was hyped by the Bush II regime and the media as an event equal to that of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. This was 100% pure unadulterated propaganda that the sheep believed as they do with covid and glowbull warming.
9/11 was not a military attack by a sovereign nation at war with us. It was an Islamic terrorist attack and should have been treated as such. I absolutely did not care for President Clinton, but even he came out sand stated the obvious, that it was terrorism.
The Iraqi or Afghan air force did not fly planes into the Twin Towers, there was no reason to have a 20 year war over that. Tracking down and killing the supposed perpetrators, such as Bin Laden was all that was needed. The waste of thousands of US servicemen (in terms of death and disabled) and billions of dollars was not needed.
So we just gave up everything, literally, in Afghanistan in a humiliating retreat and just move on to another war.
You’re right, but 9/11 was shown live on TV around the world and seeing a full size passenger jet crash into a 100-story building was something no one had ever seen before, then to watch 2-100 story buildings collapse was shocking to everyone, so the pretense was set, we had to strike back, 9/11 was used by the warmongers in Washington to justify a 20 year war, after we toppled the Taliban government in Afghanistan with 12 Green Berets and a handful of CIA operatives, we could have killed Bin Laden and come home and the world would be a lot different today.
But we haven’t learned a thing, now we are edging closer to a war with Russia, instead of the Taliban and Iraq, regardless of what you think of Russia, they aren’t Iraq or the Taliban and carry a little more punch.
9/11 should have had the outcomes of
1. Get into Afghanistan, crush the Taliban, leave the place to the UN (the UN authorized the crushing of the Talibs), then withdraw after 3 months)
2. No invasion of Iraq
3. Withdrawal of American troops from Saudi Arabia.
4. Removing American subsidies for Pakistan
The USA had tons of goodwill when they eliminated the Talibs. Should have left soon after
