Shivanthi Sathanandan is a vice chairwoman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Alpha News reports that in June of 2020, she was strongly in support of dismantling the Minneapolis police department. In a social media post, she thanked two city council members for their radical leadership toward that end, adding, “We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department. Say it with me.”
Tuesday evening, she was assaulted and carjacked in front of her children in the driveway of her Minneapolis home. In a Facebook post, she included a picture of her bloody face with the following text:
Four very young men, all carrying guns, beat me violently down to the ground in front of our kids. The young men held our neighbors up at gunpoint when they ran over and tried to help me. All in broad daylight.
Look at my face in the picture. This is the face of a mother who just had the sh$t beaten out of her. A mother whose only thought was, ‘let me run far enough and fight hard enough so that my kids have a chance to get away.’ This is the face of a mother who just listened to her four-year-old daughter screaming non-stop, her seven-year-old son wailing for someone to come help because bad guys are murdering his Mama in the backyard, her neighbors screaming in outrage … all while being beaten with guns and kicks and fists.
And I have rage. These men knew what they were doing. I have NO DOUBT they have done this before. Yet they are still on OUR STREETS. Killing mothers. Giving babies psychological trauma that a lifetime of therapy cannot erase. With no hesitation and no remorse.

I’m even thrilled that her young children were there to witness it. Learning that your mother is a stupid dingbat could be a very valuable lesson in life.
I know this is evil of me but, it sucks to be her. I just can’t feel bad for these idiots.
I’m glad you pointed this out. Also, the amount of blood for a scalp wound indicates a very minor cut - scalp wounds bleed like crazy. If she was struck as she says, she would have a great deal more blood on her face. The photo is an attempt to draw sympathy, while preserving her “looks.”
I know where you are coming from on that, but damn. What an awful thing.
Back in the Seventies, I was mugged on base once by four black sailors. They had me down on the ground, kicking and punching me, and it was a terrible thing. I have a hard time imagining what it would be like to be a little kid watching your parent get that treatment. (I never felt like it affected me, because when I told the Petty Officer in charge of my shift what happened (Who was also black) he offered to put together a posse to hunt them down, which I refused, but his offer did me a lot of good.
That said, if every single one of these “Defund The Police”, “Empty the Jails”, or “No Bail” people could be subjected to this exact treatment, I would not utter a word of sympathy until they publicly changed their minds and their support for these insane policies.
Then, I might tell them that it is regrettable they had to undergo that to change their mind.
But that is about it.

Her post states, “Yet they are still on OUR STREETS.” If there are no police, who does she expect to remove them from the streets???
Her words are too clear to try and walk them back, so she'll just shut up and let it die down.
That is, unless she can find a way to credibly blame Whites or Christians or Republicans...
In the end she'll do what all high-profile libs do, hire bodyguards, and the matter will be closed. The streets will still not be safe, but she won't care.

So who is going to “catch these young people” once the police department is disbanded?
Cause and Effect is a racist law and has been repealed in Minneapolis.
As for what the 2amd actually says "illegally possessed guns" would only be stolen guns. "The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." That does not limit the bearers of that right to any class of people or any type of arms or any sort of government permits. The only possible exception would be those legally subjected to involuntary servitude which could be interpreted to mean legally incarcerated persons, convicted criminals or legally incarcerated mental patients.
Proper social work would have prevented this violence by convincing the young people to lead better lives.
Social workers will talk civilization into them.
If she had been carrying instead of calling to defund the police and guns, the outcome might have been better.
I only feel sorry the kids had to see this.
